I don't think an extension is going to gain 10mph and a half a 10th. What is the margin between stock?

I'm no drag racer, but why not?

It seems to me, from a amateur's perspective, that the extended arm is going to deliver more traction throughout the initial part of the pull. The first 1/3 maybe? Wouldn't that translate to more time spent with more throttle being applied?

I agree that once you hit 3rd gear, the wheelies should be done with and at that point it's all top end, but the initial drive out of the gate seems as though it would substantially improve your overall time if you could get more HP down earlier.

Only similarity between the bikes is that they are Blue.

I checked the time and date on Both of Mavs runs and got the DA numbers .. It was less than 120 feet DA difference on the those two tests .. I used his time tickets ( date and time stamp ) and went and checked the DAs ... The bike went slower with only a 120 foot difference in DA that will not change ET or MPH very much if any .. If anything the bike ran a tad slower .. Testing has to be done same day , same bike , same rider .. Two ECUs in hand and make 4 runs and swap ECUs and make 4 more runs all while keeping an eye on the DA for any changes ..So in fact nothing has been proven at this point ..

I rather stay out of this but when things are posted as fact and are not true I had to say something ..

Which Smokin said first on zx1441r.

Lol, that is what I've been saying all along. I can't remember exactly what words I used but it was something along those lines. I think it was then insinuated in another forum that maybe I own stock with Guhls or Brock because I'm not drinking the koolaid, lol

Its all good. We know where you stand. No need to keep trolling. Seeya Saturday.

Not this Saturday, have fun at Bear.

On June 14 I informed Black1 that the weekend of Bear I will be in Puerto Rico.

I’f you think I’m trolling, how do you think some of us feel when every other new thread is about how out of this world this flash is. When is just one more option, nothing more, nothing less

Annoying ain't it? I would think you would agree with me on this one. That all those threads should be merged and put into the products and providers section.

On June 14 I informed Black1 that the weekend of Bear I will be in Puerto Rico.

I would have picked that one too.

I agree. I think somebody made a suggestion a while back about creating a flash section, or a Cblast testimonial section. Maybe BG is following/reading this thread and like you said, create one in the products and providers section.

This is what that ex-gp-sbike(?) guy said to Dorna about filling the field. Change cams if you want to hot rod, but the electronics is a never ending money pit.

So if both were stretched = Guess who wins with 10mph added on.
So if both were stock = Who is going to blow away each other, we have someone moving faster than the other at the line. I'll say, no way are you going to make up 10mph on the 150 preset no matter if the 150 left an eye blink sooner.

Yup. If Twright puts a 12 over swing arm on, I think he beats smokins time. He has the weight advantage at 120 lbs.

Swap Twright and Mav's bikes, does anything change? Another anomaly is that Twright runs a stock ecu, PCV only for fueling.

SO.... The blue bikes are the fastest.

.890 Mav = Cblast Flash
.840 Smoke = Don's Flash + pc
.870 Twright = OE + pc

Are we up to date, porkroll? Mav, that's the field, you are one cell short of a pc. Looks like both show a: + pc.

We're missing something here: all I've read here is the flash is the penultimate.

Now I'm being told the limp jumper is the fastesest?!

Hub your way off on the effects of additional wheelbase on a drag bike. Ask Lee about his personal best at SWB. Notice his MPH while short. Compare that to his personal best at 68". I run in the 152-155 range as is. I weigh 170 unsuited and probably close to 180 full suited. Your comparing apples to oranges. There is more to it than just the color.

RE: Update

What I get out of length is less wheel spin and the nose stays down. So you are not seeing mine. Your power input on the short arm is limited power apply. With the long arm, there is more power to the ground, so I can see the leave is sooner i.e., could apply the power better long armed, Agreed?

First I had you in the mix with Smoke, now porkroll shows up with a stock ECU and a pig. So if all 3 of you matched arms, that's one round of numbers times 3. If you all ran stock with pc, that's another variable. No matter how you look at it, will the same results prove out?

Right now, I don't know if porkroll runs an arm like I see yours in the avvy, and you now say Smoke did his best with the arm. That makes porkroll running stock arm [assumed] and stock ECU + pig. If he installed an arm... Where are we at now vs. your setup/Smokes?

Twright runs a stock swingarm and weighs 120 unsuited. Fastest stock swingarm bike on pumpgas. PCV no ecu flash. Thats why i said anomaly. An extended swingarm gets through the 1000' 3-4 tenths faster than the fastest swb rider/bike.

I'm over 50 lbs heavier and slower. Go figure. Lighter rider equals less wheelie prone. Fact. Am I the quickest SWB rider on the planet? No. Can I point to a different rider and say lookie how fast? Easily. I speak on this subject because I can put this bike through the quarter with some of the best. I will NEVER be a man child fly weight. Maybe I should stretch this bike out? What do you guys think?

Easier than losing 50 lbs.!

Before your criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you do criticize them, you're a mile away and have their shoes.

I can't imagine how weak and sick I would feel at 120-130 lbs. Not to mention how weak and sick I would look.

How much extra horsepower does it require to offset 50lbs.
