RE: Update

In fact, it is running slower than Brock or Gulhs.
I see your point but think about this. Since this is an 'update,' Mav has made a run on flash, if I'm not mistaken? I hear you about the slow part, but Mav ran a 9.0 and that is 8.99999 kind of close but the wind was blowing the cigar kind of conditions?

So lets say Mav has gone to enough weather vanes, air pressure, temp, humid way of not making it to the 8's all this time. All this time till that flash, yes or no? And then you have to ask the question, does Brock run that bike with flash alone? No is his answer saying he will blow away the flash only camp, correct? So that combo is working the mph, but are we in the constant 8's as we can't get into the 8's but are in a steady 9 scenario without flash? See those 2 combo settings?

Bob has Triple-O Fun Guy.
0 = Old
O = Ornery
O = OK?
Fun Guy = Dis easy on the guy, Okay? Sounds like fun to me everyone is getting a round off. I laugh, I cough, I cry in my glass is. Funny is that group of animals in the tree, one is barking at me.

Hello gentlemen.
Not sure what my dyno sheet will look like but I am going to predict 200hp.
We shall see.

I'm with bob I'm a street dog fighter and I also like to launch. Not or never was into roll on battles. ROLL ONs come in many refreshing scents and are applied to the armpit. They do nothing to display talent or rider\racing skill.

I love my Cblast setup too. Others like their setup and their choice. That's fine as long as they are happy. Ain't gots to be constantly shoving it down their throats. I know I don't like getting shit shoved down my throat and I get pissed and will do the total opposite and go out of my way to disprove and make the other look like a fool even if I go down trying. That's what see here, it's the same small number of people going at each other every time. We all share a common interest here and there are an infinite number of directions we all choose to take our bikes. No one way is better than the next. We build them to suite out own personal interests and needs. I've chosen both light drag racing heavy with street and I also have all the parts to set it up for hypersport touring. That's what I want and need and am extremely happy with my bike in both setups. A lot of people prob hate my bike cause of how I chose build it. I don't give a fuck. My bike I do what the fuck I want. Play nice and love yer two wheeled brothers, cause in the end we all got each others back.

Oopse missed the "waa waa" comment..
Hey nasty, not to defend it, but I posted this because I wanted to write something creative about the update and I wanted to pay my respects to the man that flashed my ecu. You never know when you write something how someone will interpret it. It wasn't an endeavor in conflict mongering nor was it to flex my muscle and boast. I just thought to tip my hat and write something different. I agree we all like what we like and ride how we want. We all should flash with whoever we want. Your post above is on the money.

As for us fighting over flashes and performance mods. I've never professed to know it all. Case in point I put an arm on my bike. Liked it. Saw it's limitations, had problems and put a different arm. I also ran Yosh R77's and learned they were less than desirable. We do the best we know. We listen, read learn apply and mod. I'm no Gandhi! Just an ordinary man on an extraordinary bike.

Ps I packed a pin for you too.

That being said the R77 made 206 hp with the dyno tune.

My issue with Yosh was they cracked and the organization would not work with me to replace them. They are great pipes.

Personally, I'm not looking for just peak HP. I'm much more interested in a full range of useable power, and I think that the cblast flash will give me exactly that.

If we can find a dyno during Bear Mt. we could test a cblasted ecu bike, then stick my stock ecu in that same bike and test them back-to-back... Or, we could dyno my stock-ecu bike, then cblast it and dyno it again.

Ok, sorry to keep this going, BUT, this is what started it : "In fact, it is running slower than Brock or Gulhs"

I haven't seen anything on this, same bike ? same track ? same time of day ?

I don't profess to be a drag racer, or even a great rider, and I haven't done any dyno runs,

BUT I have had Guhls flash, and I have had C's flash, and in my case, C's is much better,

I have been riding motorcycles for almost 40 years, I KNOW MY OWN BIKES, and there was/is a
noticable difference between the flash I got from guhl and the flash I got from CBlast,

that's all I can say, not trying to snuff Guhl, I have talked to him, and he seems like a nice guy,
but I know what I know between the flashes I GOT .....

Brock seems like a nice guy, but he is selling all kind of "high performance" part for the GROM !
really ? the GROM ? I'm talking PCV, BST rims, Alien head FULL systems, etc .. etc ...
just kind of seems a little "strange" for one of the leading high performance entities to be marketing
these high end parts for a GROM, I emailed Muzzy, and they said "we have NO PLANS to market for the Grom"

hey but what do I know ?

I could also throw the PCV back on the bike, have C zero out the fueling tables, and use the PCV map. Unplug the PCV and have the ECU re - cblasted, and run it, or vice versa. Same bike, same day, same dyno. But that doesn't resolve the ET argument, just HP. My bike runs better with the ECU flashed than it did with the PCV, so its a mute point to me.

kofla just because im new here dosnt meant you can distrespect me either im 60 years old and have been racing and wrenching on bikes since the early seventies so show respect when experienced people tell it the way it is sorry if the truth hurts the only way your going to believe that its better is if they flash yours for free thanks for the advise

I’m your age, also riding/wrenching since the early 70’s. I don’t walk into a new forum and start insulting established members, it is disrespectful. As I said, respect is earned. If you want respect, then show you deserve it.

What have you done lately Kofla? Where's ur dyno sheet? What 1/4 mile tracks you burnin up. What do your chicken strips look like? We are riders that don't just stand around talkin bikes. Put up. Or shut up.

That’s the best you can do? Lol... I was racing while you were still wearing your diapers. I’ve paid my dues, got nothing to prove to you or anyone.

And for the record, not everyone is jumping in the bandwagon about this flash. Nothing personal against Nel, as he is a great tuner with lots of experience, and well respected in the racing community. But this flash still has not proven anything at the dragstrip. In fact, it is running slower than Brock or Gulhs.

You jumped in with your negative crap that is incorrect. As stated, ask Maverick what he thinks. He ran his personal best trap speed with it in worse conditions. He is the one whom has ridden both set-ups at the track, and many like CarAbuser and Grn14 have ridden both flashes on the street. I have respect for their opinions. If they were not happy, we would be finding a way to fix it. No one addressed you negatively in this thread. Wolf was gushing about his update. No one bullied you. Bob has a right to his opinion. He earnt my respect. As you do yours.

Ok, I am respectful to everyone, Kofla, you made a statement that C's flash was slower than Guhl/brocks,

I am just asking if it was the same bike, same track, same time of day etc ...

Because the last time someone said that, they were comparing two different bikes at two different
tracks ! .....

just asking .....

RE: Update

Here is what I think is pretty amazing... The Brock and Guhl flash was created by those two VERY respected names in the business. Don Guhl has been working with Kaw ECUs for a long time and should be the foremost authority as such. Brock Davidson's climb to success in this industry is inspiring as it is impressive. He is a true rider that sacrificed doing what he loved (riding) to build a business and make a living for himself and his family. Now that being said... You have a man that produced a flash with the help of a trusted tuner that currently EQUALS the Guhl/Davidson flash (ET wise weather variables included) with VERY limited funds and manpower. Is Sebastion (CBlast) 100% done with his flash with zero places to make ANY improvements? I don't think ANY product is 100% PERFECTION, but I do think Sebs flash is very close. I would love to run the Woolrich setup with the datalogging function and REALLY dig into the hard data after a very aggressive pass. (9.02 or better) But hey... Look guys I don't enjoy seeing discord amongst a small group of guys like this. To Kofla: WHEN I beat my personal best of 8.97 I will post it up promptly for you. Let's all agree to squash the squabbling and enjoy the share of knowledge and ideas here. To be clear: I respect Don Guhl and Brock Davidson's contributions to the industry. Is their way the ONLY way? Of course not. Is it impressive when a privateer can rival the performance of industry GIANTS? Absolutely. Even you have to agree with that Kofla. You don't have to respond but just know that I am on a quest for ET at stock wheelbase. This path has led me many places and I'm sure I will continue to travel other places.

This is the first time I've ever said this, but PAGE 3!! all you page snipers!! lmfao
I love my ride with a passion that cannot be questioned or suppressed, only manifested in any way I see fit. I find it amusing the way it is expressed by some. I might not GET the way it manifests in some people, but I respect its right to do so. These bikes invoke a passion in some owners that is possibly like no other. What matters to me is the individual expressions, suggestions, information, and comradery on this forum. Take any of these away and we don't have a forum. Just a playground of bullies competing for Alpha status. Then the focus on the bikes is lost and it becomes about the personalities. There is no winner in that pissing match.

I recall Steve at Brock's tellng me a flash was not the way go get "higher numbers" after I stated I got a "mere" 187 on a dyno pull. But apparently Sebastian's flash does bring substantial peak gains
(If this claim can be verified)
So yes that is impressive for a regular guy to develop a flash that is on par with, and some say surpasses, the pro company like Guhls

However' I would hardly describe Guhls as an industry "giant". Don Guhls company is somewhat known in this small, niche market, yes. But he's far from being another Walmart or McDonald's. Lol
