Hi all, I'm looking for a good set of smoked front and rear signals and a smoked tail light for a 2013. Any recommendations on whos to get? I don't need the integrated tail light. Thanks.

You can get lenses for the rear signals, but the fronts have to be replaced as a unit. Lots of choices on Fleabay. I think this is one area (plastics) where the Chinese could be pretty well implicitly trusted to turn out a good product.

Could I use this w/o the integrated turn signals connected, just as a regular brake light?

I think you can wire them either way. But here's the deal you've been looking for. They gotta let you back on shore sometime, I hope?

I got a $30 smoked tail light on ebay, and Clear Alternative complete Fronts/Rear lenses for $80...$110 got me all around. Good quality too, the Clear Alts. Tail light fit ok, but used some black silicone to hide the 1/8in gaps from the stock and looks/fits OEM now.

yea man u can use that just brake light. what u will have is the main plug for the brake light and then2 wires one for either indicator.if u dont want the signals then just tuck them away.i myself wired it so that the tail light and blinkers all blink, i think it looks good that way everything blinking.

I got all the lights replaced with clear alternatives from 58cycle. I will not do business with them again. Taillight was defective and unlike others that had them replaced without having to ship in the old ones I had to send mine back to the new manufacturer. Funny thing is new manufacturer said all 58cycle had to do was send me another and request a replacement.
They do look nice though but with the extra shipping of returning the defective one back it got pretty darn expensive.

that does suck to hear about ur experience with 58cycle.ive had nothing but good things from them. it does suck to get a crappy part when ur waiting for it. i purchased my integrated tail light from some off the wall company and the lens was covered with glue that holds it together. they just did a shitty job and i couldnt even get ahold of them about replacements. busted my ass cleanin that stupid ass light up. i think its a hit and miss with any company unfortunately

I'm going to order them from 58cycle.com. I've been emailing with Jayson in customer service, and he has been very prompt with answers and help locating parts they didin't have on the website, plus free shipping and a price match on some slip ons. So far I call it great customer service.

58cycle is a good company. I have gotten a lot of parts and accessories from them.
I had something which was dead on arrival. I emailed them, got a response the next day, they sent me a new one without even making me send the dead one back.
A lot of times if a company is selling something made in Japan or Taiwan they do have to send the bad one back to get a new one. Its not 58cycle's fault.

I also replaced all lights/signals.. and do be honest, they generate a little bit less light, but looks beauty and enough to be visible on the road.

also to increase noticing me, I put flasher module.

I'd like to have some of them smoked lenses, but no way in HELL am I gonna take that brittle fairing off again!
LOL
But the smoked lenses look great on all the lights, even the headlights. I'd consider doing the spray on tinting, but not really sold on it yet. I was wondering if it'd rub off or wear off pretty quickly and start looking half assed.

I need to decide whether to go with aftermarket smoked lights or do the Nightshades spray.
From what I am seeing in the pics here, the aftermarket smoked lenses could be a little darker to blend in better on a black bike. Would aftermarket smoked lights look at least 80% black (with the lights off) if the reflector on the inside was painted black?
Also, is it possible to remove the reflector on the front signals so that the reflector can be blacked out? ..or could I just remove the bulb socket from the front turn signal and stick a paintbrush in there to black out the reflector?

bump.
Anyone with smoked lights, I want mine to be dark when the lights are off. Maybe not quite black but dark grey with a hint of the the prism in the lens still showing when the lights are off. I want them to be inconspicuous against my black bike.
What should I get in aftermarket tail and directional lights? Smoked, a combination of smoked and Nightshades or should I just use nightshades on a clear lens?

Been interested in adding smoked indicators for awhile myself. Could some please tell me if the ones off eBay come with connectors or do I have to splice them in?

Thanks for the input. Very nice, moppedmanni. That looks inconspicuous enpugh even on a black bike.
What brand?
I know mnost aftermarket tail light come with LEDs. Did you have to convert the front and rear directionals to LED or did they come with LEDs?
Are those smoked lenses or did you have to darken them up a touch?

Sorry Rook, I don't really have a clue which brand all the lights are. I bought the taillight and front indicators from seller called "Riff GmbH"
www.riffgmbh.com/RUeCKLICHTER-187/RUeCKLICHTER/TYPENBEZOGEN/KAWASAKI-128/LED-RUeCKLICHT-KAWASAKI-ZZR-1400--06-12-.html
www.riffgmbh.com/BLINKER/TYPENBEZOGEN-199/KAWASAKI-160/LED-FRONTBLINKER-KAWASAKI-ZZR-1400--06-11-.html
and rear indicators from Whitelights
www.whitelights.eu/product_info.php/info/p582_schwarze-LED-Heckblinker-ZZR1400.html/XTCsid/an3vepl0pfihe86f0hq6lincg2
I did not change anything on them, they came as dark as they appear. The only important thing for me was street legality, which is given on them.

Thanks, moped, that helps answer a lot of my ?? about the darkness of the lenses. I think I'll just go with whatever shade they come in and if it's not dark enough to suit me, I'll shoot a little nightshades on them or the Plastidip tinter. I'm sure they would not make them too dark so little risk there.
I think I'm going to try the Chinese made lights from xxfairings. Maybe I let that little honey customer service girl sweet talk me into it. I had good luck with my first transaction with xxfairings (a fuel tank cap) so hopefully this will go every bit as well.
