Well, it's official. Back to old style indy car racing... run what you brung. Imagine F1 engineers showing up with a few blueprints in hand selling their wears. Italy walks a few cottage industries over and talks to ferrari. Honda walks over to the other building and walks out with a F1 plan. Yamaha scrambles in all directions looking for said building. The rest of the field is fucked.

Best results:
My bad. Never can rule out the doctor.
Rins come from behind.

Worse results:
If I were team owner, I'd put a fork in Rabat instead.

Racing just got 555 timed. You could not see Crutch leave the line and have a jump on everyone. It was Crutch's processor vs. the red light switched off. It sure wasn't the naked eye. We're talking millisecond jumps. That's BS!

A secret R&D video stolen from said department. Development being done back in Dec 2016 is the triumph triple engine for moto2. Say nothing to no one. You didn't see it here.

You see what I mean Hub?
Your list includes Rossi who rode a strong race for a very distant second, but doesn't include Marquez who literally out did himself to run rings around the competition and win by a country mile.
It was embarrassing how much faster Marquez was than the rest and how he just toyed with them including your beloved #46.

Yet Rossi gets your accolades and Marquez doesn't rate a mention.

I don't understand the venom toward Rossi. Marquez also ran rings around Dovi, Crutchlow, Vinales, Petrucci, Borenzo, Rins etc etc ALL of which Rossi beat. So why keep up the thrashing of only Rossi?
I don't get it.

Mad, 2nd and 3rd were actually minor stories compared with Marquez's absolute dominance.
There was only one supremely dominant rider who was the talking point of the race.
All finished an eternity behind him.
So why mention Rossi and not Marquez?

So why keep up the thrashing of only Rossi?

Because of Rossi's disgraceful lack of sportsmanship in 2015.
The guy couldn't win on his own so had to blame it on something/someone else.
(Plus would you kick another rider off their bike Mad?)

Add to this Rossi's one eyed fans who will hear no wrong about him no matter what and there's your answer.

yannih, MM is a given. Only a few are in this club of aliens. Rossi is unique because of his age. There are always the up and comers that you want to see break Ago's win streak. You did see Rossi extend his hand first to MM before the trophy presentation, yes? If Rossi was that much of a prick, you'd think he'd never do that to a rival, but he did. And he did blow off whoever got in his way. Was it the rider or the bike? Ask Dovi, ask Miller.

And bike wise, did you notice how Dovi's lines sort of twitch the frame. Was it the line or the bike?
And bike wise, did you notice Rossi being that close to Dovi, his bike never showed any frame movement. Was it the rider's line or bike?
And bike wise, did Mav have the speed but couldn't pull it off? Was it the bike or rider?
And fan wise, did the crowd cheer for Rossi because he's a cocksucking, motherfucking, holeoftheass, prick that he is?
And no, I'm not trying to sway your take on the guy. I'm more objective and can step over the flaws in the guy. Can he beat the current crop? I believe so. Could he be rated an alien as in the short list? I don't see anyone coming out of retirement and can waste the field in the way Rossi can. That's now twice this year Rossi has come from the back with a poor qualifying position. And now recently with he being the field beater, sans MM.
And just saying, if MM was not in the group, it would have been Rossi @ 114 wins to Ago's 122. If anyone can beat that record, it's MM or Rossi.
And you never know, he might set a trend and have an old farts race on current equipment. I'd pay to watch that shit.

You did see Rossi extend his hand first to MM before the trophy presentation, yes?

Did you see the countless times Marquez offered his hand and Rossi did not take it, especially one for all to see at a pre race press conference?
But Rossi puts his hand out once and he is a saint!
See what I mean Hub?
Still, it's good he did it...

And fan wise, did the crowd cheer for Rossi because he's a cocksucking, motherfucking, holeoftheass, prick that he is?

And did those same fans call Rossi out in 2015 when he lost the plot completely and all semblance of sportsmanship?
See what I mean Hub?

And now recently with he being the field beater, sans MM.

And just saying, if MM was not in the group, it would have been Rossi @ 114 wins to Ago's 122.

Sans MM???
If MM was not in the group???
How many others would have won World Championships sans Rossi or if Rossi was not in the group???
Plus if my auntie had balls she would be my uncle!
Come on Hub.
See what I mean?

I'm more objective and can step over the flaws in the guy.

And I'm not?
I can't count how many times I have said, "Masterclass from Rossi", "Great race from Rossi", "Rossi is a champion" for all here to see?
But if I call out the obvious that is not positive, well I'm the villain...

See what I mean Hub?????????

I don't think anyone here is saying that Marquez isn't a generational racer. His time just in MotoGP proves that. What I'm saying is there is a tendency to point out how bad Rossi does, even when he beats everyone else. And for bad behavior, ask the people in Moto2 that Marquez ran off the track. Or Maverik's team manager last year, or anyone associated with Borenzo. Racing requires supreme self belief, to the point of arrogance.

How about this Mad?

How many times have I complimented Rossi?
Many. Check the pages.
How many times have Rossi fans pointed out his short comings?
None that I can recall. Nothing to check for...
Do you see?
All I am saying is balance.

Well I, for one, have pointed out that Rossi SUCKS at qualifying. Over and over he makes some miracle move on race day to be competitive. Even he admits that. I also stated that he went temporarily insane with the whole thing with Marquez in 2015. But, on balance, Rossi has been a great racer and a great ambassador for the sport for over 20 years. Does he have flaws ? Of course he does. But to do what he does for as long as he's been doing it is remarkable. Let's see where Marquez is in 20 years. Maybe a 20 time champion, or maybe long retired.

Q-Man is ripe for a factory ride. Put a fork in Rossi already! You're right, yannih. Rookies Rule. This is a quick group. Fluke or no fluke? Rossi is an asset to the up and comers. Bag is a graduate.

Embarrassing.

Looks like... looks like a battle of MM vs Q-Man.
Looks like... whoever chose the right tire combo, or I'd sure like to see if said combo is at least a matching F&R from 1st thru 3rd or tires mean nothing. Or if say the combo is three different tire choices for the podium winners, then it's what, luck of the rider/bike brand?
Looks like... to me anyway, like a crash fest at turns 5 and 10. Either the tire takes them out or the tricky turns.

Yeah looking forward to this one Hub.
Q-Man...
What a rookie!
Shades of Marquez when he started in MotoGP.

Big call but I reckon Quatararo might just have Marquez's measure in this one.
Rossi might threaten a podium for a change.
And as you say who will stay upright in the tricky conditions.
Time will tell in about 4 hours...
