1. Dovi
2. MM
3. Q-Man

Or MM breaks the duc run.

Where I was sitting, best race of the year, best position changes before the first lap. I didn't really watch the race. I drag and dropped Rossi and watched his lines, listened to his shifting/downshift/throttle openings. Very smooth. Not abusive to the engine. Then I DD'd Dovi. Classic line taker. Stabs the edges of the painted lines right at the apex. Another smooth rider. Love that duc's engine note. Gear shifting sounds more brutal. Once they changed the camera angle [back side of the rider] I DD'd MM. Here is where I watched Dovi from the rear. Dovi had the HP on the honda and could pull away. Was consistently rolling on the same edge of the paint at the same apex. MM could setup Dovi all day long no matter where he planted the bike. MM made an entertaining attempt at it none the less.

Shit, yanni, you gotta give props to the old man... or not. I Never count out the doctor. Is ahead of his team-mate in points don't chew know. No matter the gain in position, when you stay upright and the guy is front eats some lawn grass, 'it ain't over till the old lady sings' and all that.

Shit, yanni, you gotta give props to the old man...

Yes, credit where credit is due.
10th on the grid to 4th was very strong.

But Hub, if you were Lin Jarvis, would you give a factory ride to the amazing talent of Q Man who is the future and improving all the time, or persist with a has been in Rossi who is deteriorating.
Who is more likely to bring you a World Championship?

I guess it's a rolling ambassador for yammie on the euro end of it? Contracts and all that. Speaking about musical 'seats', Lorenzo is offered a chair or ride out his contract for next year. Either way he sits; says his contract. Smart on honda's side, because I sure would not let Lorenzo go, dust off that knee-tank, and blow honda out of the water. Exciting racing to watch those 3 [Q-MM-Lor] go at it for us next year, but a pipe dream is just that.

More parting ways is Zarco. Some can just jump on a bike and go. Rare is the rider these days. Lorenzo figured it out in the end. He crosses into that breed. Rossi? I think he threw his hand down after so may rounds of shuffling parts around. Miller? I guess they are not so rare. I think Miller went from a honda to a duc like water!

Once Q's contract is up, he jumps on who knows what... I choose Zarco's last bike he rode. That kind of guy just wants the front spot no matter WOT. If Lin or yam or the movershakers do not pluck Q for Rossi's spot, "Move Over Mav"? Will Rossi be the #2 man? 46 yet wave?

Fresh off the presses and I'm loading what I taped off my cell phone.

I laugh and laugh and laugh at these attempts to show Dovi shoving it up Marquez.

Is Dovi in front of the close finish results tally against Marquez?
Yes, by far. 5-1.
Is Marquez disappointed, pissed of, and does he wish this was not the case?
Of course. No Champion wants to be beaten at his own game.

But, despite all this, how many premier class World Championships does Dovizioso have so far?
None.
Why?
Because Marquez has them all and keeps taking them with loads of clear daylight back to the rest of the pack.

Dovizioso wins the small battles every now and then and full credit for it, but Marquez wins the war against him everytime...

Hub, regarding the Yamaha thing, Rossi has the legions of fans, brings in the sponsorships, and sells shit loads of bikes for the brand. On top of this, he is a true legend of the sport.
All great reasons to keep him on.

But what is it all really about?
What transcends the money, the popularity, and the constant media coverage?

World Championships.
You get those and all else comes along for the ride.

And no matter how much you love him Rossi is not the man to bring those any longer.
But Quatararo can.

If I was Yamaha Quatararo would be offered a factory ride next year right now regardless.
Does Yamaha want to loose a potential "Marquez" by keeping a has been in his place?

And if I was Honda, I'd be on Quatararo's door step knocking real hard with big bucks and leaving Lorenzo to his Ducati wishes.

But I am neither so we will see what happens...

Well, it's one reason I worship no hero's. I sawed away at the pedestal and used it for kindling many decades ago. My deal is the ride factor. Can the person ride what is presented and aim for the front. The head game vs. the tool.

QMan is the MAN right now, IMO. If I look back at Rins, that rookie racked up 5th places season by season. That was then. This is now. Between these 3 finishing at the bullring, Q is this year's hotdog. We shall see.

Hard to explain that one. How can that bike all of a sudden work for Rossi. How could Zarco wet lap it to third was it? The flag drops on a dry track and Zarco acts the caboose? I mean, is that ktm that shitty a bike he lets most of the riders pass? Explain that one.

Name the best bike out there. Okay I will... Honda. Who owns the most pole records achieved on a honda? Who broke that record and name the bike that broke its own record. That's what Dovi and the rest are up against.

And here is why I really didn't see the bull ring race. I was checking their lines. Picked up the phone and hit record. Kitty demands a round of 'rubbies.'

Hub, thats why I just don't get why you go on and on about Rossi?

Great to see Miller's been signed up for another 12 months with Pramac Ducati. That would have been fucked up if he missed out on a 2020 ride with the way he has been performing.

Anyway, give it a week and we'll be chatting about the next round...

Funny. Naaa, I'm more in the car with Dovi and MM. When Dovi asked where Rossi finished, he too said you can't count the guy out. And did you see the handshaking and backslapping in the pit box? If Rossi is on a roll for the weekend, I think he just extends his podium stats. If that bike of Q's doesn't code, the kid can decipher if the bike still runs, keep racing with the backup. He's even more down on power and now see where he finishes. I'm going to give one to Miller. So MM, 46, Q, Miller [the darkhorse], and not in that order.

****SPOILER ALERT FOR THE BRITISH MOTOGP***
If you haven't seen it yet and don't want to know the results then read no further...

Well Hub, brilliant race and great result.
Very unfortunate start to the race with the rookie Q man taking out the unlucky Dovizioso. Lets hope all are okay because it was a nasty one.

Rin's deserved his brilliant last second victory and Marquez with second position increased his World Championship lead with a stack of points.
Now 78 in front of the field.

And Rossi?
He could not podium even when two main competitors were out in the first lap!
After showing top pace and being favourite for a podium if not a long awaited win, he had absolutely nothing in this race with a very distant fourth.
After the weekend lead up, that finishing position would be like twentieth to him and his factory team.

I know I am definitely biased and also you won't agree with me Hub, but Valentino Rossi is not the future for Yamaha.
He is running on his past, has no chance of winning a future World Championship for the brand and just doesn't have the pace to keep up with the new young guns anymore.

If Yamaha persist with him then they deserve every mediocre result that they will get...

I agree. The guy needs a fork put in him, but the fans just want one more and then one more. Mav needed a few more laps. That was a commendable effort. Rin's had your boy covered. That was some race; sitting in the heli. Rin's would reel MM right back. Where he found that smooth riding technique I don't know, but it made MM look like an amateur. All he had on Rin's was HP. Still didn't help.

Zarco's last crash lingered in that mind of his. So much so he quit the game months ago. Has to be why he never stuck his head out of his shell. Lets see if Q can stay out of trouble next round.

Completely agree.
Rin's was over Marquez for the whole race.
Really deserved the win and was the better man on the day.
No issue from me...

I agree. The guy needs a fork put in him, but the fans just want one more and then one more.

Hooray!!!
At last someone see's through Valentino Rossi's past reputation and popularity and states fact.
What a refreshing change.

It didn't seem MM might take pole this time around. Too bad I didn't mention it before final qualifying. That dumbass Rossi fucked up his run at it, however. Tell me Rossi didn't catch the infield screen and knew where MM was. I want Zarco to flip that mindset out of his cranium. It's embarrassing to see the same engine in Pol's bike and Zarco can't match times. Either he does something tomorrow or he's your classic 'burnout'. Put a fork in the guy.

Cough, if you take you know who I mean, that guy is still in the hunt. Home field advantage. Maybe they have the better handling bike or found something? Cough, I can't get this out of my throat, but, cough goes podium. Maybe Mav, if not Q for the win. Let's say MM and Cough have a battle deluxe 4 positions back.

Rook, here is today's qualifying and the [potential] battle deluxe:

Thankyou for the confirmation Hub.

Rossi has that emotional Italian trait where the red mist comes over his eyes and he just cant do anything about it.
He knew his lap time was cancelled for exceeding track limits.
He also knew Marquez was behind him and pushing.
He simply decided to stay on the racing line.
He didn't know he had exceeded track limits?
Bullshit!
To keep his final chance hot lap going Marquez had to make an aggressive overtake and because of this he also then exceeded track limits.
Then Rossi shuts the throttle and nearly causes an accident between the two.

It gives me great pleasure that Rossi hasn't won a race since Assen 2017, struggles to podium week after week, and Marquez consistently rams it up Rossi's excuse making ass race after race.
Karma is a bitch Valentino...

****SPOILER ALERT FOR THE MISANO MOTOGP***
If you haven't seen it yet and don't want to know the results then read no further...

Well didn't Marquez shove it right up Rossi again, this time at the Italians own home curcuit.
Marquez 1st, Rossi a distant 4th.
"It is a very special victory after yesterday" said Marquez referring to Rossi screwing Marquez's qualifying hot lap.
And then the pathetic Rossi fans boo'ed the playing of the Spanish national anthem during the podium ceremony.
And Marquez as well.
But Marquez loved every second of it because winners are grinners and loser can fuck right off!

But as satisfying as it was to see Rossi and his fans taught yet another humiliating lesson by the master Marquez, this time in their own backyard, this was not the story of the race.

The rookie Quateraro was truly unbelievable and deserves every accolade he gets.
He was the true Misano hero.
What a performance.
Such a shame he didn't win. He certainly deserved it.
Top Yamaha and on non factory machinery.
A true future star.

Marquez should be very concerned next season...

Oh fer chrissakes...
BOTH Rossi and Marquez had exceeded track limits. Neither lap would count. Mark shoved it up the inside of Rossi
then promptly ran wide ,during which Rossi tried to go back under him. It was just another fuck up by both
riders. Again Yannih, I really don't understand your constant criticism of Rossi. Yeah he's at the end of
hos career, and STILL finishing ahead of many of riders who you don't criticize at all. Riders like Mark and Quatararo are the future. How about just giving Q a factory bike in Petronas colors?
