It looks nice, but how does it feel after 400 miles in the saddle?

Maybe someone wants to spent $275 and be a guinea pig, but I won't. Besides, I'm saving my money for a seat for C14.

Still comfortable after a 400 mile day...

Personally I can't stand people who join a site just to pedal their wares, I'll stick with a Corbin, or even try something like Dogo's Tobin (looks good man). The concourse Gel seat looks awesome too. LOL this dude is making a killing, personally I would buy a cover off eBay... $20-$100 and do it myself.
PS- New Image Seat, if you were smart you would "provide a free sample" to the site moderator who could post a factual review and possibly get some business through word of mouth advertising (The best way in my opinion). Joining up on a site, making 1 post to sell your shit really is like pissing in the wind (good luck, hope the wind is at your back) ;-)

Thanks, but Tobin/New Image = same/same... Check the Busa forums for the back story.

But I'm with ya, Seno... How about some sort of forum deal, NewImageSeats? You wanna sell some seats or not???

BTW... I have a Corbin also... The New Image more is comfortable, IMHO.

Thanks again for the warning, Seno... Quit worrying, the Gilles are coming off next tire change... and will proudly be displayed on the wall of shame.

BTW... removed from mods list in my sig, so as not to influence or encourage others to purchase them.

Dogo, I have a Tobin seat and the passenger hump precludes using a seat cowl. Was yours made differently or is it a standard change they made? Plus, does anyone know if the seat cowl works with the C-14 seat?

I'm with you, Seno, I really detest people who create a forum account and make 1 or 2 posts trying to peddle something. And I sure won't buy anything they recommend. If one of you recommend something, I consider that worth following up on.

Back in the days of UseNet (netnews) we could ban people like that easily. Besides which, they got so many messages in their newsreader client telling them they suck that the squids usually went away.

In rec.motorcycles, you had to be an active, constructive (on topic, Obligatory On Topic or OOT) poster for a long time before you got accepted. Nobody would flame you if you didn't post stupid stuff, they just didn't give you cred until you proved you could contribute useful or amusing information.

There are too many punks on web forums these days, and admins are either overwhelmed or don't care. Some proactive web boards assign moderators to major topics, like COG does.

Over at COG, if you advertise outside of the Emporium (For Sale) it gets moved to Emporium once, and the next time you do it, it gets deleted. Keep it up and they disable your account.

Not that COG doesn't have flame wars, OMG the same subjects everywhere. Oil, air filters, tires, black is the fastest color, we've all seen those topics here.

EDIT: wish I could spell....

The cowl will only work with the Connie seat if you shave down some of the foam on the passenger section.

I bought my Tobin used, so not sure if they made a standard change for the cowl to work. ... Just know that mine does.

In perusing the New Image website, I noticed the older designs like mine have the small passenger bumstop while the newer ones do not. I think that makes the difference as to whether the cowl will fit or not.

Hey guys, Lee's work is EXCELLENT.. I encouraged him to join this site to get the word out about his work. I guess I should have shown everyone how he did my seat.. It's a real show stopper at the Bike nites.
I had him recut the seat, replace the padding with softer material, and "LIGHT UP" the seat. I am pleased with every aspect of his work. Including the turn around time. I dropped the seat off to him on a Monday. It was done by Wednesday, and shipped back to me by the following Tuesday.
The old seat use to "BITE" me on the outside edges after a few hundred miles, Not now. With the new material, and contour I have no problems with the long trips.
And turning the seat lights on (wired into my accent lights) stops people in their tracks.
And the rear cowling still fits....
Here are a few pics of his work on my bike...

The color looks a little off in the picture. It's actually a real pretty emerald green. It's done by installing accent lighting in the seat under clear plastic. And yes, it's safe for a passenger to sit on. A few young "chippys" have sat on it. The seat that is. (The wife rides a ZX-6R and I'd never get away from her) LOL !
Lee can LIGHT up ANYTHING you want on your seat. I saw a BUSA seat at his shop with the Jap symbols lit up. AWESOME.
I was going to get ZX-14 put on the sides of my seat, but figured my legs would cover it when riding. I should have. Maybe in the spring...

Sorry I haven't been on here. I forgot to subscribe to the post and I didn't know there was any response. But I fixed that problem. It is true what others have posted, New Image Seats is the only business that ever made Tobin seats. Tobin and I went into business together after I redesigned his Hayabusa Seat. He was the face of the business but never did any of the work. For about 5 years now New Image has had our own website and we offer great service. I believe that our service out did Tobin which is why he is gone and we still continue to produce seats for people around the world. I would put one of my seats up against any seat out there. You can call me if you have any doubts about my service, at 717-495-9934.
@DogoZX- When a customer orders their seat I ask them if they ride with the cowl. If they do I will not put the hump on the rear. But some people insist on having the hump in which case the cowl will not fit. We can rework your seat if you want the hump removed.

Here are examples of ZX14 seats

Thanks, but the cowl works with mine... It's Danno that may want to have his reworked.

I'm definitely considering it. If I do send it in for a re-do, I'd also (if possible) like to push the rider bumstop back a bit and expand the rider area to make a little more room to move around. I know that's limited by the shape of the seat pan, but I'd like a little more wiggle room.

Give Lee a call. I'm sure if you describe what you want, he'll come up with something. And go for the in-seat lights. You won't regret it.
