GOOD: Sargent Seat
08/28/09 6:36 PM

I just received a new Sargent Seat. This thing is BEAUTIFUL! It appears to be EXTREMELY well designed and the quality of the manufacturing is impeccable. Fits the bike like a glove. Looks great on the bike, too.

They shipped it 4 weeks to the day after I ordered it, just like they said they would.

I can't wait to take my next long ride. -bg

Hi Bgordon, how's that Sargent seat compared to std.
I will probably be touring Europe next summer and i'm looking for a better seat than stock..
The Motorways make my butt hurt badly on the longest trips...

Pictures and review plz.

The Sargent seat is MILES ahead of the standard. I'd highly recommend it. (Keep in mind that I'm old when I say this, but) I used to have to stop and get off after about 50 miles, then every 30-40 miles thereafter. I took a 350 mile per day trip 2 weeks ago -- first time out on the Sargent seat. I stopped every 120 miles or so, but probably didn't need to. -bg

The Connie seat is 100% better than the stocker but after a 100 miles I have to get off of it. I am thinking about having the Connie seat reshaped and repadded over the winter. Wish I could find some 14's around here with a couple different seats I could check out.

Lytnin said"after a hundred miles I have to get off of it". (I can ride all day and not feel any discomfort with my Connie seat).

I am old and my butt is tender.

My ZRX's have Corbins and I can be on them all day without a problem but they also set you farther back in the saddle. If the same happens with the 14 then I need even longer arms and a smaller belly.

Does the cowl fit on the Sargent seat?

If you check the Sargent Website, they offer a version that allows the cowl to be used as a storage area. It looks pretty cool. There are several options to chose from.

"I'm OLD and my butt is tender"...........Ya-I basically have NO BUTT-just two nice butt bones that hurt like-well,butt bones-on anything except the connie seat.Easy to mod the connie seat-will allow the use of the cowl as well(which I personally wouldn't ride without!)(I LOVE MY BIKE!!!)
