Cool, Grn!! Are you sure you're not going to go 4-2-1 on that thing?

Recently got a PM asking my opinion on superiority of BAzzaz or PC5. IDK?? My busa runs good on Bazzazz and the 14 runs good on PC5... The one thing that stands out is that Bazzaz offers a module with really sweet quikshifter. That same module also has TC but I am sure you would be paying the extra and just shut that off anyway. Still, Bazzaz ZAFM+QS+TC is gonna run you about the same cost as a PC5 and a separate (and probably not as nice) quickshifter.

.ooooooo i remember some wry comments a while back.

Looks to me like the rotor problem is just stuck brake pistons. I'll work those free.

However, there is a new problem. Busted a rotor bolt off. Can't blame that on anyone but me.

You know Grn, there is a LOT to be said for not modding too much. For one, you actually get to ride the bike.

Would be interesting to know what the ECU reflash does that a PC cannot. Does it change the ignition timing curve? I know the PC is for fueling changes only.

According to Ivan...here's what they do.

Retable the ignition.Eliminate the top speed limiter.Raise the RPM limit 500.Cause the secondaries to open at approx800 rpm.Disable the 'safe mode' for secondaries in the RPM range.Allow the ECU to accept the user settings on the KTRC and Power modes.(staying where the user set before shutting ignition off).Completely bypass the KTRC when set to 'off'.

PC mapping...his own.I have a feeling this is gonna be REAL GOOD.

Rook - "Still, Bazzaz ZAFM+QS+TC is gonna run you about the same cost as a PC5 and a separate (and probably not as nice) quickshifter."

I don't know anything about Bazzaz or thier quickshifter, so I can't compare the two, however...

The ability to quickshift is built into the PCV, you just need to wire a momentary switch to it. For my VFR800 I bought a handlebar mounted pushbutton switch (for a communication system) and wired it to my PCV. When riding, just apply upward pressure on the shifter and tap the button... you get a 300 millisecond interuption of the fuel injection and the shifter easily clicks up.

If you already have a PCV, I'd recommend buying this switch http://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=AR-HM-PTT

For $24 you'll get full throttle clutchless upshifts... really sweet. Hopefully I'll be starting some performance mods on the ZX14 soon.

Write up on my VFR quickshifter mod is here http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php/topic/70200-quick-shifter-for-power-commander/

After 3 seconds of full throttle, everything else on the road becomes 'Oncoming Traffic'...

"Disable fuel cut Zero back Fire ?"...that I don't know.He said there may be some popping without blocking the pair valves...but we'll see.I rarely got any backfire with the Brock's/guhl setup....once in a great while if I deceled just right.Easy enough fix if it's something annoying or whatever. When I blocked the left side airtube under the airbox with the Brock's...I HAD to TRY and make her backfire. She just didn't want to;)

See # 7.

Ivan's ® ECU Flash for this model includes: - Available Now!!

1) Speed limiter removal

2) Raise rev-limit 500 rpm

3) Traction control off completely when selected - no more safety mode in the lower gears to slow you down. (6-15-2012)

4) ECU remembers last traction control setting - so you don't have to turn it off every time you start the bike.

5) My tuning program .
Throttle "quality" is flawless in the corners.... it makes rediculous power and good mileage as well with no flat areas
(no matter what you do with the throttle... even at low revs)

6) Bike runs noticably cooler

7) No TRE needed - all done inside the ECU.

8) Our flash is not the same as others available elsewhere.... it has very specific items done to Ivan's™ exacting specs....
nothing was left out that would compromise any aspect of performance.

All testing was done in house on Ivan's personal testbike
