Rook - "Still, Bazzaz ZAFM+QS+TC is gonna run you about the same cost as a PC5 and a separate (and probably not as nice) quickshifter."
I don't know anything about Bazzaz or thier quickshifter, so I can't compare the two, however...
The ability to quickshift is built into the PCV, you just need to wire a momentary switch to it. For my VFR800 I bought a handlebar mounted pushbutton switch (for a communication system) and wired it to my PCV. When riding, just apply upward pressure on the shifter and tap the button... you get a 300 millisecond interuption of the fuel injection and the shifter easily clicks up.
If you already have a PCV, I'd recommend buying this switch http://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=AR-HM-PTT
For $24 you'll get full throttle clutchless upshifts... really sweet. Hopefully I'll be starting some performance mods on the ZX14 soon.
Write up on my VFR quickshifter mod is here http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php/topic/70200-quick-shifter-for-power-commander/
After 3 seconds of full throttle, everything else on the road becomes 'Oncoming Traffic'...
