Brakeaway that fits?
05/19/12 1:29 PM

Has anyone installed a brakeaway on their ZX? I have one on my ST-1300 and I really like it. Compared to the Throttlemeister on my CBR, I feel it provides superior emergency braking abilities. Saved my skin once when max braking for an unexpected deer. I don't see any for sale for a ZX. Will the 14R use the same one as a 14?

They don't list the 14 on their site have you found one for the 14?

No, I haven't. Tried calling Friday but they're only open M-R. Will give them a call Monday. I hope they have one that fits. It's a slightly overpriced but excellent product.

A throttle lock for the price of an Audiovox cruise control? Sounds like something for people with too much money.

Has anyone installed an audiovox cruise? That is what I'd really like. Can it be installed cleanly? I'm not a very good mechanic and would probably farm this out. About how many hours should it take a competent mechanic to install?

I know a few people that have. Takes about half a day since you have to remove the tank, which also involves removing a few body panels. It's not real difficult, just tedious.
