changed my rear and front shock and fork settings to adjust for my bodyweight (230). Was reading in the owners manual that bike is set for 150lb rider. My back tire was coming up and bending my license plate in and rounding it up I have realized I needed to set the suspension up but had not done it until the plate started getting smashed up.
Went on a Veterans mc ride and while waiting to take off overhear a guy telling his buddy "you have the fastest bike here" (busa) he says no, I saw a zx-14 here.

Rode the crap out of it for the last three days! 1200 miles around Washington and Oregon. Saw 175 on the speedo! Wish I had the Gopro on to prove it but like any fish story I guess it isn't true unless you have a picture. Doesn't matter to me though cause you couldn't beat the grin off my face with a baseball bat. Bottomed out the suspension up by Mt. Rainier and folded my plate up into the wheel well. Rear fender eliminator looked good but the plate met its match with the rear tire.

david5525, Glad I am not the only one having trouble with my plate getting bent up. I changed the front and rear compression and rebound settings to max and still bent It up the other day. I only weigh around 230. When I get the back tire changed again I will have the shop (I don't have the wrench) change the rear shock preload to max. On the plus side I do feel the bike handles better and sets down In the front a lot more stable after small wheelies with the suspension set more firm. Changed my oil today mobil 1 4t racing, spent the money because its looking like only one oil change a year, did 4,500 miles since this time last year. Also set my headlite vertical adjustment down some, getting people flashing me, around every other car.
