My understanding is 2006 to 2011 all the same, 2012 diff.

Do i need to copy maps for an 06

Lots of maps for 06-07 models, Not to worry there.

I don't think the PCIII's ARE the same after 07....there IS a different part number when you purchase the later(08's and up)model(?).I don't remember WHY it was different...but I seem to recall this deal with mine(07 PCIII).IDK for sure.Definitely best to make sure before you just 'buy one' online or something.I'll go look right now.

I just looked...they ARE different.from 08 on up...different sku #

The model numbers are different, but they all work on the bikes 06-11. I had an 07 PCIII on my 09 so I know this first hand. The model numbers come in to play when you're loading maps to the PC from the software. For example, if you have the 07 software, you won't be able to send maps to the 08 model PC. But even this is just a matter of getting the right software version downloaded, which you can get from their website. I think there's also a firmware update you can make to the PC.

So just make sure you have the right version of the software to go with your model PC and you're good to go.

Well since i got the pc3 from Caroobs, I'm assuming it's the one made for the 08 and up bikes. So as long as I download the 06-07 software to the pc3 it should work fine?

Your best bet would be to call Dynojet in Las Vegas and ask their customer service dept. They will give you the correct answer and tell you what, if any, are the differences.

You can use an 06-07 PC3 in an 08 and up... here's the catch... the file type has to be for an 06-07 model otherwise the PC3 won't accept it (you cannot upload an 08-11 file).
To use an 08-11 map, you would have to copy it into an 06-07 map file.

Fuel requirements for the 08-11 model is very different than the 06-07 models

Personally, I would get the correct one for my year... it just makes things less complicated that they already are.

Also, the PC3 is discontinued for all years of the zx14... it has been replaced with the PCV.

" 224-411"...okay...I see that...but,what about This...234-411...?for all models after 07?No argument here...just sayin....the software deal that Romes mentioned and someone else...'upgrades' before you could load a later map...I didn' know existed. ..when I got mine...I never went back to download maps or anything. So I eneded up with a Jeffo map.
