It kills me to admit this but as simple as a lever is, a cheapy might not be something you want to trust. I bought $40 Pazzo copies and installed them. What could possibly be wrong with a lever? It's just a lever for crying out loud. Several people told me that cheap levers did not allow for proper clutch operation. There is no way to tell if the clutch was partially disengaged at all times until the clutch wears out and starts slipping.

I couldn't tell if my $40 pazzo copies were fitting right or not. No way to know. In the end I just decided to buy some real pazzos because I didn't want to worry about it.

Moral of the story. Get recommendations. the blade lever s might look cool. I have no idea if they work properly.

I've seen those before. I was considering them too. after much thought and considering the possibility of needing to change clutch plates prematurely, I just decided to follow the crowd. Get Pazzos or one of the other more expensive and well known brands like CRG. I hated to spend the $$ on it but I never came across anyone who said they had inexpensive levers. I'll sell you my Chinese Pazzo knock offs-- if you want some blue pazzo shortie look-alikes. I think they might work just fine LOL hows that for a shining endorsement?

$10 + shipping.

BTW, you don't save more than an ouce or so on lever replacement. I estimate the standard length Pazzo is exactly the same weight as OEM. Shorty is marginally lighter. Not a cost effective mod but looks cool.

Hi Gents, i've got some experience here. Own an 08 ZX14 and a bike accessories business. A couple of customers complained of clutch slip under hard acceleration when their bikes had warmed up (before i got my 14). Turned out the drilled recess in the brass insert in the clutch bracket was not deep enough. All you need to do if you get levers with this problem is to drill the recess about 2mm deeper then its sorted. I raised this problem with my supplier and they've sorted it out on their manufacturing side but theres probably some other manufacturers out there that have not corrected the issue yet.

Had the bike GOOD & warmed up last weekend. It was a three hour sport ride in the country ith 80-85 F temps. The engine temp went to 5 bars at one point. The aftermarket throttle grip and quickshifter were not functioning as they would at more typical operating temps. Both apparently expand enough that tolerances or play is reduced to the point that performance is changed. the Pazzo levers didn't seem to be affected at all.

Chinese copies, OEM, Pazzo

what sbk is saying is that the clutch piston switch may need to be drilled a tiny bit deeper. This is the pin switch hole on my chinazzo. You can see that it is not a flat bottom hole like the OEM. Also it is smaller than OEM which is the reason the edge has sheared against the pin switch. I never drilled it because i just diodn't want to take the chance. I got the little dremmel drill press and tool but there it sits. I just decided to go with what I felt most confident with.

Hey Rook I will do the $10+postage thing. Not actually going to use them after all the stuff I have read about them, but would like to install them to see if I like the look and feel of the shorties. I am not in a hurry so if your coming to my side of the lake this summer we could meet or you could just ship em.

Sure, that would be a good idea nad you might even decide you want to try dremmeling them out a bit. Only thing, IDK how much or what.

Here's the deal though. Noticed my Pazzo clutch lever was clicking right at the start of the pull like the piston switch might be hanging up on something. Just a small bind I don't usually feel that much with gloves on. I have to have a look at that first .....I kind of doubt if I will use the Chinazzos but just in case...

PM your shipping address. If you're up around Eskee like i think I remember you are, i might just hand deliver but more realistically, i just can ship them.

“The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten” – Benjamin Franklin

Spend the money right the first time IMHO, but each to their own.... I have bought the Chinese Pazzo's, and had issues, have owned 3 sets or real Pazzo's and never had an issue.... This time I was smart and kept my stock levers if I get rid of this bike...

Regarding Roaring Toyz... I have used their lowering links with great success, Chrome Frame plugs on last 2 bikes, 2 of 6 was bad (One was stripped, other finish was peeling off)... Never used their levers, but they were cocks when it came to replacing the Chrome Frame plug that was fucked up in production... Other one they told me to eat a dick on, no warranty on chrome plateed plugs... So personally I will not be giving them any of my money if I can avoid it

2015 30th Anniversary Edition 14R #250-> Brock's CT Ceramic Coated, Ivan's ECU Flash V2 & Map, Block off plates, HM Strain gauge quickshifter, GPR Damper, Spiegler lines, Muzzy's Sliders, Pazzo levers, Rizoma Next Fluid Tanks, DDM Ultra 5500K HID's Low & Hi, DB Windscreen, Cox Radiator guard, gold titanium bolts... too many to list at this point

I swapped out to Pazzo levers a couple of years ago and no issues whatsoever.
