clutch basket centre
07/12/12 10:28 AM

Hi all

I have been giving the bike a service and was checking the clutch out. With all of the plates out i can move the centre of the clutch about 90 degrees before anything starts to move within the gears. If this normal as i sometimes get a knocking when accelerating but havn't pined it down to what im doing. it could be from standstill or it could be in 3 or 4? i can feal it through the pegs.
Thanks

Dave

Not sure about the explanation, but, with the plates out and the bike in neutral you should be able to spin the inner hub freely.if in gear, it shouldn't move very much at all.
