Full Akra and PC V
12/09/12 11:33 AM

Got the full Akrapovic 4-2-1 stainless with the carbon can, also installed the PC V, all from Ivan's performance. The bikes only got 530 miles but feels really strong and a bit smoother on the throttle after the install.
Here's a pic from this morning, getting ready for a breakfast ride

One of the best looking 14r pics I've seen. Is it possible to say "I'm done with it" and be content and just ride 'er? Hopefully find out next year when I get my new bird.

Thanks Black1.... I'm not a big fan of either extreme, long can or shorty can so after measuring a bunch of times and marking the different sizes with thin blue painters tape I ended up deciding on taking off four inches from the can.
Not difficult to do but time consuming for sure, spoke with Ivan before hand and got some pointers from him.
The carbon sleeve is extremely easy to cut, just make sure to use tape to cover the part you are going to cut that way you wont scratch the carbon, pre drill the holes and then use a dremel yo cut the insulation and the metal screen along with the perforated pipe.
Reassembled it all back together and used 3/16 rivets, I'm currently waiting for the Original Akra Pipe decal.

Nicely Done! I would not have the nerve to cut into a brand new Akra can.

I'm currently waiting for the Original Akra Pipe decal.

Personally I think you should leave it like that. I like the minimalistic look. Plus yellow wouldn't be a good match in my opinion.
