i'm looking to get a 6" over tailpiece to put on my 14.a few ?'s though for the peeps that installed one already.
is there a padded seat available for it ? it appears that u cannot run one with it.looks real cheap with the install tabs sticking out.also, here is the most important factor.i know with the busa' extended tailpieces, everyone of them regardless of how perfect the install is , they all crack where the frankenstein bolts are.any problems like this with the zx14 tailpiece ? thanx for all the info

nothing you can do about the install tabs..

they recommend using oversized washers to spread the load out.. Regardless, most people don't. Added to that, the fact it is cheap, thin plastic.. It's not going to break immediately but it is certainly possible eventually.

I've found that if you really like a piece, which has less than strong tabs/mounting holes, take some metal mesh, the kind that has holes in it, say from an air filter mesh, steel yard, or the like, fashion it to shape extending X inches beyond your tab/hole, on the back side, and then epoxy it there. There are so many types and thicknesses, you can tailor make this reinforcement to your needs, and it costs almost nil.

I have had very good success and no breakages so far....
