I've recently learned that HD clutch springs are required for boosted engines but can be advantageous even for an NA engine. My goal is to be running the maximum shot of nitrous with a stock engine by next summer. I think this will be somewhere in the neighborhood of 70~80hp. I don't need anything for launch control, just something to keep the clutch from slipping under spray.
I will be installing an EVO shift star soon so I wonder if I should also plan to upgrade the clutch at the same time. Should I at least go with HD springs or should I go all the way to a lock-up clutch ...or should I do both?
Here's a pic of a multi-stage clutch just for fun. I'd love to put this beauty in but I'm sure its far beyond my needs and way out of my budget.
