what is the total time to install from a-z if you have a 1/2 inch air gun and big compressor/tank
Sounds like you know a thing or two if you own those tools.
Remove lower fairing and side must have to come off too. Remove rear brake hose retainer and outer chain guard. 3/4 hour
Remove sprocket cover (DO NOT LOOSE THE 2 SMALL METAL SLEEVES THAT ACT AS POSITIONING PEGS FOR THE SPROCKET COVER--HOLES 2 and 4) and clutch slave cylinder, clamp it so no fluid leaks and remove inner chain guard. 1 hour.
Unbend lock washer. I used a 24" breaker bar and 27mm impact socket to remove head nut. It was not terribly tight but an impact socket and gun is safest for (not) tipping over the bike, I am sure. DO NOT USE A 12 POINT SOCKET!-the nut points will strip. Stick a steal bar covered in a rag over swing arm and through rear wheel to stabilize the final drive while turning on nut. 1 hour.
Loosen up rear wheel and pull axle ahead, lift chain off of output sproc.--half hour.
Swap in 16T, adjust chain slack, bend lock washer and torque head nut. 3/4 hour.
replace inner chain guard, sprocket cover, clutch slave, brake line retainer, fairings. 1 1/2 hour.
Bleed clutch system maybe? 3/4 hour.
I think it will at least be a solid day unless you have done it before. If you have not, I would double the time estimate.
just did my sprockets and chain. have a zillion pics and am almost done with a detailed write up.
