Sad to say I had a Yam 650 maxim and didnt change the brake fliud for years and years and the brakes worked just fine and the guy I sold it to didnt change it for years afte that .
Point is I also change mine on a schedual now but are we just a little bit paranoid as in I have had cars that were ten years and older and never had the brake fluid checked or changed unless a repair was needed ???

Lost in TX and I dont want to be found ,
2012Yamaha Tenere 1200 for really wandering off the beaten path
2005 GL1800 Sold to another to enjoy
2006 ST1300 Gone but not forgotten
2009 ZX14 Also gone and will be replaced someday
some of the best of both worlds

It's very simple. The bike takes DOT 3 or DOT 4. Put something in there that says DOT 3 or DOT 4.

Has anyone ever experienced brake fade on the street? I never have.

I don't think a brake sock cares what grade of fluid it is covering. I'm getting a free Motomummy sock for ordering my steering damper.. Hey, it's free. I NEVER TURN MY BACK ON ANYTHING FREE no matter how worthless it might be.

Back off topic: (Have to say, I have gotten conned on that get a free $100 for opening a new bank account with us. Don't ever do it. It will be the hardest $100 you ever got in your life.)
