I've had my 09' for two years now. I would like to start making some performance upgrades, but not sure where to go with it. My first step that I'm taking is a power commander. Looking for suggestions on adding some hp.

G'dsy your best bet is pcv, exhaust, mapping, I have bin put off aftermarket "race air filters" after learning besides letting more air in! what else do they let in (fine particals)ie sand/dust/grit. but as I mention surf around in all areas im sure like me you'll pick up more knowledge/mates/laughter etc. better than anyware else, happy hunting ride hard live long

If you've got a full system, definitely get a PC put on and get her tuned.......that will help tap into more HP you're missing with proper mapping. HP upgrades range from bolt-on ( Turbo / Nitrous ) to engine work ( cyl head and cam work / bigger bore kit ).
So, it's up to you and how deep your pockets are for the BIG HP gains.
A less expensive improvement is weight reduction, no HP power gain but it'll feel like it - Carbon fiber wheels and other goodies as well as strippin' the bike of unnecessaries. I know a fella on another forum that has dropped his bikes weight about a hundred pounds with BST's and stripping parts - that's a pretty huge difference

If you don't already have one, get a power commander. Have the bike dyno tuned, or atleast call Muzzy and have them send you their map for your system.
Beyond that, what is your budget?
Are you only concerned with horsepower?

No privateer your not right about the Slip-ons not requiring a PCV originaly I asked LEES SPOT ON about if I needed a PCV with my LeoVince Slip-on pipes because when I got the new pipes after a short time the rear end of the pipes went black plus my mate Goody was following me on his XJR1300 he said when you opened up your bike up (high revs) their was some black soot coming out the rear and he could smell the petrol badly cause its running far to rich ! I phoned Lees Spot on who does the dynoing said you need a PCV because the two cats aren't on the Leo Vince pipes and you need the PCV to remap for the Slip-ons to lean her down, I'm not a mechanic but this was the same when I put Slip-ons on my CBR1100xx and I had to buy a PC3 for it and get it dynoed because it was also running to rich after my Slip-ons were installed and you could also smell unburnt fuel, I also went back and looked at the old questions here about gutting the cat out of the Header pipes and hub stated after testing with or without cats on the header pipes it was found the was no differance as Kwacka put larger diameter Headers on the 08- on ZX's to compensate for the restrictions with the Catalylic Convertors on the Header pipes !!!
