Going for my first ride today a bit nervous due to it being a Cruiser! she,s all done bar a Saddleman onepiece seat to streamline the rear end better!

FIRST ride was awesome till I had to stop for fuel ! I had to trust a complete stranger to go in the servo with my cash to pay lol as I could not walk without my stick!he first looked at me strangely and asked why ? My mate Goody was the only one to ride her before today and gave me the impressoin it was really heavy (305kgs)and didn,t like corners! with that in mind ( Dreading lol) Off I went went through many bends through the Gawler Town, then hit a small roundabout yeah not bad! then off in the country (straight Roads) then a 360 Degree loop onto the Hwy then to the Northern Expressway,went out of my way to show one of my riding buddies im out! then took my fav back road home don,t know what my 6'1"mate was going on about as I road that route as quick as i,ve done on all my past bikes! so yeah shees a different beast but im ok with riding her now!

Hate to see the 14R go down, but onward and upward. I am sure you'll get a different and possibly even more satisfying pleasure outta this great looking machine.
As for that throttle, take it easy. As you well know a *touch too much* can mean the bike will *walk all over you*.

Hi Bean! You have such beautiful country in Oz. It brings back great memories to see a picture with summertime weather, grass, hot roads, sunshine and a motorcycle. I wish I could hop on a bike and ride there with you. I'm glad to see you're back in the saddle, mate.

Ha ha guys thanks so much yes it is a feeling only bike riders and ya dog feels when they hang their head out the Cage lol It is an all inspiring thing to get back on after time off foresure!

I really love Beans avatar that's shown in a full detailed picture at the bottom of page 5 of this thread.
Here's a bloke who hasn't exactly had the best of luck of late when it comes to riding motorbikes and has had the odd bit of repair work done on the body.
Plus there's still battle scars visible.
So it would have been understandable if yet another rider retiree was notched up.
But nope.
The crutches are still in easy reach, but the look of pride on Beans face on his new ride is priceless.
Sometimes you just can't take the motorbike out of the boy!
You are a champion Bean.
