Good for you bean! Now you have to start all over with the mods and making it yours. Enjoy the new monster!
I keep going into my Kawi dealer to see if they have one, but they never do. I asked and the sales person says they will get one soon.

CONGRATS! DAmn you , bean! I was wondering why you have been so quiet. Had to mull that one over a while, 'ey, mate? Great choice. Just saw the 14r in real life yesterday. Looks a bit bigger than the Gen1. Sat on it and it does feel light. Yes, a good deal lighter than my stock 08 busa that I am quite accustomed too. Seems to feel a bit more upright---or is the seat higher or something? Maybe my imagination. The tank cover is not so bulbous as the Gen1 14 and I really like that along with the revised top fairing. Fins are great of course. The triple tree cover is less attractive on the 14r than the 14 IMHO but that machined stem nut is very pretty. Also I like the more rounded tail fairings of the gen1 14 but the new seal cowl design of the 14r makes up for that. Most of all, the motor is what would get me. I'm staying away from dealer demo days or I might do something crazy. Maybe in a couple years. Can't wait to hear your 14r stories bean!

Bean congratulations!
Man if anyone deserves a great touring holiday and then a new bike, you certainly do. Even though I'd said I'd be working when you guys did the GOR, I had hoped actually to pull a sickie - unfortunately I couldn't - even had in my diary 4th April "bean07 on the GOR". It was great weather though IIRC, hope that the school holidays traffic wasn't too bad.
Ride safe on that new machine
Cheers Jules.

YEAH! swap some small bits today! just the brake/Clutch caps and the yoke cap + the Radiator guardwell in a small way she's mine opinion between my Big 2010 REDZX14 to the 2012"Big"BlackZX14 R!
Right wife wanted me to ride around the carpark before the Demo ride to see how I go with the stock Pegs (due to only 78 degrees R/H leg bend at present )well obviously good cause she got on it! in saying that I have 1"drop pegs on the ZX14 & it is still hard for me to operate the rear brake! well on the 14R with Stock pegs I could get to the rear brake easier plus im not on my tippy toes as bad (5'7") second I noticed on the same ruff road i noticed how it didn't react to the bump/ruts as bad, & to my delight besides the same first gear "grab" that ! up or down gear changing was way smooooooother,I think the Red light camera got me anyhow the seat is better like thinner at the nuts but wide & and carved to suit the butt for hard throttled, well for a 40km city/suburban/hills test the deal for me was done!! so I ask Nadene what she thought of it she replied I felt safer on your CBR1100xx,not so on the red one, owch! ( after nearly three years she said this!) well what do you think ? "I feel really safe like on the bird" & it's more comfortable and smoother.so I signed for it, we picked it up @ 10.30am went straight into the hart of the City ( Peter Stevens) to pick up two SunShields for my Shark lid I then went home, it's really great in traffic ,all in all she loves what I hate built up traffic with poise and tearing up the road if ya like to as well.I have no regrets in regaurds to the capital loss of my former new ZX14 + mods ($19K + $4.5k mods)$6.5k change over for my new ZX14R!
