I'm new to the forum, considering buying the 14R after having test rides on the VFR, Hayabusa, and 2011 ZX14. Salesman highly recommended the 14R over the standard due to the refinements. My previous bike was a 2002 Blackbird, which I owned for 7 years and really enjoyed. I know bikes have come a long way since then, and I'm looking forward to those improvements. I do consider ABS a real plus for all weather street riding. I owned a VFR 800 with ABS but never invoked it during my ownership, but like the idea of being able to hammer the brakes in poor braking conditions in an emergency. I was impressed with the 2011 14 I rode - smooth engine, felt smaller than it was, nice ergos. I'll be reading all I can about the 14, and keeping my eyes open for a 14R.
