Got all my Bachelor’s degree courses completed and made Sigma Beta Delta in the process. I now have a B/A in business management to build upon my associate in accounting. I realized the hard way that you can’t get very far with a mere associate degree these days.
Hope I am marketable enough to get a decent job, but we'll see in this economy. Fingers crossed.
Anyway, its been a lot of time and effort to complete the degree program while having to hold a full time job at the same time as being the sole administrator of my deceased father's estate, studing for other general classes I needed (CLEP tests can be busters, and I finally got the third one I needed taken, passed and over with), all at the same time. In addition to doing my best to get my alcoholic brother to complete and benefit from treatment (but that's another story)
For the last few months I didn't have enough free time to do anything. All weekend studying, and even every evening after work I had something that I had to get done, even my lunch hour was spent doing something I had to do, then quickly get back to work....................But the glorious day of relief has finally come. DONE! This post is mainly a bit of encouragement to anyone else contemplating starting back to school to get a degree, or even GED…………do it. It’ll give you a leg up on the competition, and you need all you can get these days. And your quality of life may be increased, and how much value can place on that?
