Had a fantastic day out with a run up to Scotland on Saturday, 650+ miles. Great weather, roads practically deserted except for a few other like minded bikers, having an absolute blast down the Dalveen Pass when suddenly...POW! A young Red Legged Partridge decided to hop across the road. Poor little devil never knew what hit it. Hit the nose fairing of the bike thankfully, an impact in the visor could've been disastrous. Had some close calls with Deer around there too....

Ok, I'll play.

In Oregon earlier this month, came around a corner in the middle of nowhere at an pretty good rate of speed and there are a line of birds crossing the road in my path. I aimed between 2 birds, but took one out.

It left me a drumstick as a souvenir.

Dinner? Taste like chicken? Sorry, never a happy moment when it happens. Had a kitten run out in the road in front of us this weekend. I was third back and it was full panic in its eyes and just pancaked which probably saved its life. Eight of us missed it. Dear weren't as bad as previous years although we did come across a headless dear out of Joseph heading up to a Hells Canyon overlook. Looked like a predator drug it out of a ditch though, it wasn't a road kill from what we could see.

OUCH! that is just plain fowl!
