Guys I just installed a PVC 5 and an Auto Tune set up on my brother’s Victory. Everything went pretty smooth but when I fired up the bike and loaded a map that pretty much matches his package the AFR just shows 0.00? In the instructions it says if its showing 9.99 you have a bad O2 sensor or if it says 0.00 you have either the O2’s wired in wrong or the C bus plugs are not in right….I have checked everything and can’t seem to figure out why I’m not showing the AFR? Any Ideas??? I did enable the Auto Tune switch and configured it also….

I checked my plugs and o2 wires alls good there. But what is the factory termination plug ?

Did you feel the 02 sensor get hot ? Simple step, just place your hand on the outside, if you do not want to remove.

They suck a bit of power from batt warming up. Meter will also show.

But what is the factory termination plug ?

What kills me a big company Like Dyno jet has shit install manuals.

When you first turn key your O2 sensor will not read untill Iron get hot. See pics. Gauge swings from Rich to Lean before giving a proper reading from hot sensor,,,,,, You must verify heat,,,,, No heat, check fuse as you have a two sensor set up. Hope pics Help.

Yes exactly, won't work with out it. Still not sure how Somefun is reading AFR ????? So gave some examples how it can be done. The computer can Also show the live AFR if that's what he means. Hard to help on line, not enough info.

toledo, this bike is Turbo Charged and is running a much higher boost level on stock compression than is recommended. It is Very important to watch all info. My maps are all home made using auto tune as a guide. Gauges Are A Must or Boom.

I know it's not for every one, but sure is lots of fun. Can't live with out it now.

Had to bring everything inside and bolt down what was left out there! lol Did that plug come with the kit because I don't remember seeing it? I had the bike hooked up to my lap top and there are two pots on there that show AFR....But I guess they aren't gonna show crap cuz I didn't put those plugs in. Do I need to put them in both open ports on the PVC and the Auto tune?

Fuel trim #'s come from the settings in your AFR table, these are set in the map as default from Dyno-jet. If the map you have does not have, copy paste default Dyno-jet AFR table and go from there. Make changes later if you desire.

As you are using this on two cylinder set up with two sensors make sure AFR table shows in both maps for cylinder 1 and in the map for cylinder 2 or you will see Zero Trim recommendations. Or in only half the motor.

As for the Amount of Fuel to trim, you must go in and set your plus and minus values manually. Hope this helps. Cheers

Well I ordered the plug and BAM! worked like a charm....Have to say thanks very much Romans! You were correct sir! As soon as I fired her up she cranked right up and the A/F was working. Now I have to just ride her.....lol

oh no Romes, not with this stuff. My AT-200 is pretty much just eye candy for the rare times I take the seat off the bike. I have not used AT since I accepted the first trims 2 years ago. when I really get into tuning, I will be reading your tuning thread and I am sure I will have a few questions for you. Already pondering where to weld the bung for my busa's Bazzaz Z-AFM. Will send you pics of planned locations some day. I see that heat seems to be an issue. You don't want cold exhaust yet you don't want to locate the sensor too close to the header and risk not sampling exhaust from all 4 cylinders....yet they say best to sample as close to the headers as possible...

Already pondering where to weld the bung for my busa's Bazzaz Z-AFM. Will send you pics of planned locations some day.

Start bike, shine flash light down pipe, watch condensation puddle up. Mount high above with downward angle. Water will kill it.

So you think I could position the bung on top of the pipe so the sensor is straight up and down (providing I have enough clearance)? That would seem to be the place that would be the least likley to get watered down and it also would allow me to position the sensor as close front of the collector and still sample a good mix of exhaust from both sides of the Y going into the collector (if welded to the right side you sample more from 3,4 and if welded to the left side then you are sampling more the 1,2 exhaust).

Here you see the bung was welded way TF upstream of the collector. It is ONLY gonna sniff cylinder 3 & 4 if located there. (I believe the welder was thinking the bung should be located where the OEM HO2 sensor was located thinking that the OEM HO2 sensor was what was gonna screw in there ) The OEM exhaust has a larger collector chamber under the oil pan but the Tsukigi collector is located farther back behind the oil pan so it rides a lot tighter to the underside of the bike. YOu can see what I mean in this pic.


The A in the blue circle is about where I would like to weld the bung. Close to the headers as possible but far back enough to sample a mix of all the cylinders' exhaust. It still seems that there would be slight bias to cylinders 3 and 4 because it is on the right side of the pipe, not far downstream from the place where the right and left sides of the exhaust come together.

Now, if we take location A and swing it up top, now we are centrally located for a good mixture of exhaust and at the same time, as safe from water as possible. Also no chance of clearance problem with fairing.

So what do you think Romes?? Too much monkey bussiness?? Should I just weld it to the left and forget about the top?

If you can find a nice way to turn sensor wire in & under, all the while keeping plastics clean with no wire showing spend the time. Wish sensors were smaller and we had one for each cylinder ???? Wish.
