actually they are showing less hp increase than brocks advertised but they are the lightest systems availiable. and the ct single was the only brocks tested

I love my full Muzzy M14 with CF....looks hot and sounds even better! If I had the $$$ at the time would have gon with the Brock's CT duals...But after having my M14 I'm glad I went this way.

The magazine article has more Brock's exhausts than the online version. I did see my short Alien Head reviewed in the magazine but not online.

I love my Two Bros full black series system!
I got the full system, juice box pro and air filter for about $1250 shipped.
Found a guy in Vegas the sells all kinds of aftermarket stuff and he will barter.

I have heard all pros/cons of modding to a new full exhaust system. The shootout just made things clearer between the benefits of slipons vs full systems.
Three questions:
1.) If you do not plan to drag or race your bike, is the horse power gain worth the cost?
2.) At what hp increase would you actually feel it?
3.) Has anyone kept their stock systems on long enough to notice that the db's actually increase after extended use?
I would like my bike a little louder with the hp increase maybe with the Vance & Hines CS1's but I keep hearing Rook in the back of my head saying don't waste money on slipons......

What cost? You can get a full systen for about the same cost as a pair of S/O's... just keep an eye on the classifieds. I wrangled a CT system for $800, about the price of a pair of Akra S/O's.
2.) At what hp increase would you actually feel it?
A system is gonna give you 10-15 hp more than S/O's... you're gonna feel it. It's not just about the hp either... a system weighs a lot less than S/O's.
3.) Has anyone kept their stock systems on long enough to notice that the db's actually increase after extended use?
Can't help ya there... I ditched the stock cans on my '06 at 1k miles... and on my '08 before 100 miles.

Those are good lookin' S/O's... but remember on '08 and newer zx14's there is a cat in the header. So unless you buy a header from an '06-'07 or do some crustomization, your exhaust is gonna still be restricted.
IMO... get a full system.

1. No.
2. What you feel is all there under you now. When the exhaust lets out faster, you gain that speed difference more up top is the HP peak. Use it for street? I run out of room as it is stock. Why shorten the ride getting there. You will lose the grunt, have it even, lag a little under base run. No pipe is the same. Once change is in the mix, count 3 to 5 variables you keep working out that pipe mod.
3. No change in noise and It's very quiet no one can hear your rpms wink-wink.

With so many opinions you hear, Dogo & Hub this has helped! I understand louder means cagers know ur around (including lawmen), but I do like stealth mode the stock cans provide because I feel more in control of the action I choose due the fact by the time anyone hears me I'm past them travelling the speed of sound

This is the Quote off the Q&A section of Arrow's website:
Q. I fitted and Arrow exhaust to my bike. It is necessary to re-jet the bike or to make some modifications on the EFI settings?
A. During development phase of an Arrow exhaust, we perform several tests to check funtioning and performances of the exhaust. All of these tests are made on a standard bike, without any modifications apart the substitution of the exhaust. All the tests, both on the test bench (performances checks) and on the street (noise levels measurements) are made using a standard bike, with no interventions on the EFI settings. The only case where it is strictly necessary to make modifications on the engine and EFI are the Competition exhausts, developed to eb used on bikes tuned-up for racetracks.

Said another way:
Q. I have a clogged up bike and it's really-really loud now. I pulled the muffler off and it's still has the cat core in it. I just got yelled at in the garage I woke up the new baby on the other side of the block. Did I, can I, run over there like put your muffler back on, see if I can change a diaper we mend things up show them how quiet it is now. Will I need a Pee See if I see poop sea changing to a muffler again just to get to the baby wipes?
A. During the Wee-wee hours of testing, we pee form several tests platforms like see if the toilet flapper needs a pee see. All of these tests are made on a standard computer bike, without mods, apart from the substitution of the pipe in question. The only cause is you cause the rpm to sing all day long for 20 minutes of racing, we might need to install a pea sea or just be some also-ran with our same pipe.

All I know is I'm pissed at the sorry excuse for an aftermarket this bike has especially in exhausts. I want a dual exhaust but I think I should have more of a choice than just Brock's one system. I'm sure it's great, as a matter of fact everyone is under the impression it's the best. However, I want choices. How about a stainless system. And what's with all the damn worthless slip-ons. I loved the full D&D SS I had on my 94 GSXR907WR and it was tough enough to go through ten seasons and just as many repackings. Why is the only D&D offered a slip-on! And don't they realize a 4into1 looks just silly on these big puffers? It can't be that much about money with the slip-ons because I rarely run into people with them so they can't make that much off them. I just can't find one single brand that floats my boat with this ZX14 and it down right pisses me off!
but I digress......

Simple... More money building 600cc pipes because that's where the B&B is. Rare are the 14's to tool up. Cheaper are the smaller more affordable(s). I'd be gun-shy knowing the production run is short and now you are stuck with inventory or more it's obsolete soon.
If simple marketing says, 'do not build, Brock has this market cornered,' then it is up to each manuf to tool up and compete for that market share. Muzzy is part of that share. Add more manuf's and then the others may fade away [not worth the share] and there are your choices, digressing as it were.
