Yay me!!
12/19/12 6:30 PM

Thanks to Jagman I was able to fit my Ninjee with the Yoshi R77 silencers.

Wow! What an improvement! The ass end of the scooter doesn't make me cry tears of blood anymore. And the exhaust note... par excellence! At a hot idle Ninjee burbles deep and smooth. Cracks of the throttle result in barely muffled rage. Full throttle under load is... beyond description using the Queen's english.

Using a certified floor scale in shipping the stock silencers weighed in at 31#. The Yoshis came in at 14 and they're stainless. I don't watch weight like some folks but I'm exceedingly pleased with these and the price was too good to be true.

About Jagman: he's professional and courteous. He took great strides to ensure my satisfaction and I'll do business with him anytime.

They're a bit shy of loud. I have the quiet cores for these but for now I'm not going to put them in. Really great tone and just right on volume for me. But yes, they are definitely louder than stock.

" the rest is just burbles"...ya...I figured...you don't hear that with the stock cans...but it's there. How bout some new pics then....?I do like the shape of the Yoshis...and the sticker goes well with em also. With those duals...can you switch sides...and still install okay?I always end up having the sticker on the inside, but with these...it's actually looks okay...No..I just realized...I looked at mine a while back...they can't be installed opposite.

How are you liking your 14R?Any issues going on?It's amazing really how few things crop up with the 14R...even though there's been a few guys here that've had some(significant)problems. Both my 14's were very reliable....I could ride all day...any day...and not be concerned about getting stuck.

I think my new one'll be here in January.Gonna be good to get back tending to er...taking care of er.Great bikes.

That ABS...that should really be the icing on the cake...I love the slipper and KTRC....they really did an excellent job on the new 14R.

@Montana: way excited for you on your new Ninjee! I wish it were under better circumstances but enough about that. You're getting a new one and that's what is pertinent.

A word on 14R reliability and ruggedness. "Whore". My Ninjee is an abuse whore. My scooter just turned 12,006 and those are miles ridden in 24F degree weather, rain, and, to some extent, me lugging the engine. No measurable oil loss, no noise, just a tiny little Japanese voice muttering, "faster fat boy".

Better snaps? Challenge accepted! I'll have large breasted field photographer Tits McGee snap Ninjee-riffic pics for all to enjoy!

Gimme a couple days on that... Ms. McGee can be temperamental... perfectionist and all.

;)

Lol... thanks fellas!

She took some snaps with her camera but they're too much Hagrid and not enough Ninjee. The photo session was after a tavern session so I was hamming it up big time. I'll take better ones.

@Mad: just give me an address. You're responsible for the wine.

What a Hoot!

Too much Hagrid?? Could there possibly be such a phenomenon? Hahaha, Hagrig you so crack me up!

Yay Hagrid! You Go! Yay!

@Jagman:

You've been busy! That's quite a list of 2012 cycles on your tagline. I've surprised myself tonite: I'm jealous! Dang!

I've added another cycle to the garage this week, this one for the lady of the house: a Suzuki DRZ400S Dual Sport. She "outgrew" the DR200 she has been riding, and asked to step up a notch. We looked at a bunch, and decided this was the right combination of weight and power for both on and off pavement. I was surprised at how few choices there are in this niche. Most of them are 650 and larger, and with commesurate weight porky-ness.

Anyway, that a really awesome (and I dont say that word) cycle list. Does NOT suck to be you!

I'm kind of the same as Lietome. I love my Brocks CT Duals but there was something about those Yoshi cans on our bikes. They look perfect and I am very glad that Hagrid owns them and gets to enjoy them. IF I ever got another 14, and doubt that I do, but if I did I'd install a set of slip on's like those and call it a day. Still the Brocks are about the nicest well made Ti pipes I've ever seen. The quality of the titanium is superior to the Ti on my Akropovic slip on on my S1000RR Bimmer.

Hey Meb...sounds like you picked up a nice addition for the wife. Should be a fun bike. Yeah 2012 was a good year for aquiring some of the bikes that I really wanted to own. Problem is there is still one more out there that is calling my name, either a Gen 4 ZX=10R or Honda Fireblade, with a lean lately to the CBR1000RR just because it's characteristics and personality is quite a lot different than the S1000RR, while the ZX-10R, awesome bike that it is, is tuned and geared more like it. I know I should wait on the Honda since it's still the same bike it was in 2008 with a few minor tweaks, but last test ride I had on one is really lodged in my head.
