06 Zx 14 stock tires

I just bought a 06 zx-14 with 5000 miles on it one-owner. The previous owner told me he changed the tires but I'm not sure if he did because the bike only has 5000 miles on it. Does anyone know what tires come with a stock zx-14? The bike has Pirelli angel on it now.

They didnt come with that...check the mfr. date on the tire and you can see how old it is...

I believe they came with Bridgestone BT021's in 2006.

Many people only seem to get 2000-3000 miles out of a tire. No, nothing Pirelli comes stock on any 14. Beautiful tires but be a little careful if they are a couple years old.

3k is pretty much average lifespan with the OE tires. This is an extra soft compound tire specifically made for this model. It might be the engineers at the tire company who came up with the compound meeting the performance level.

I'll never exceed the performance level of this bike, so I'm looking for a high miler tire rather than being in hooligan mode all of the time. You'd have to order the original tires thru a kawi dealer. Ever see the retail price of those puppies?

Hubenstein: I chased the ultra mile solution for a while. Ran three sets of Pilot Road 3s and two sets of Pilot Road 4s. Both iterations gave me 4500 miles.

I lost something I forgot I had though. I put on a set of Pilot Power and Ninjee started talking to me in the knee drags. Lots of feedback where there was zero with the touring tires.

Now that Pappy and I have the tire changer I'm done chasing maximum tire life.
