Guys, following on from the other thread I just started (fuel pressure problem), I bought a package for my zx14 consisting of the following:
Muzzy 4 into 1 system
PCV with harness
Schnitz flashed ecu
Pc quick shifter
While getting service work done I got the shop to fit my exhaust and electronics but the bike wont start with the Schnitz ecu in (immobilizer wont allow power to fuel system). So part of the appeal of the package is it came off an early 14 like mine so I was hoping the tune would be good but if I cant use the Schnitz then do I flash my ecu and forget the PCV? As my flies are still in do I need to flash the ecu to alter the opening rate (and alter ignition timing while I am there)? Do I then keep the PCV but zero the maps so the qs will still work? What is the best way to optimise my package? I asked at one local dyno shop and they said they would flash the exu and tune via PCV, to me it seems that if your flashing the exu then why not tune it there and leave the pcv out of it (why tune two computers)?
What do you guys think?
By the way, the bike is my daily rider and has 103,000kms on it so Im not expecting to win any dyno contests, I just want to free up the midrange I have read about (and top end boost wont hurt). I will be taking it to the drags when its all sorted.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
:)
