D&D is the most wicked sounding exhaust imo i have a full D&D on my zx9....but they are not big on quality(they are not put together well) after the first riding season they started rusting and it keeps pushing the packing out around the end cap but other than than the sound is wicked i just have to pull them off every year wire brush them and repaint em

Yeah, i agree that D&D Sounds good. So the quality is shitty but the sound is good ... HMM........

By the way, How loud is the Yoshimura exhaust? or does that depend on WHAT yoshimura exhaust u get? I always thought they were sickening loud and wake everyone in a 10 mile range. http://www.motorcycletoystore.com/sport/images/uploads/YOS-KAWTRC.gif - The bottom Carbon ones i mean.

Thx

Actually, Yoshis are not too loud at all until you nail the gas. It should be a fairly quiet system for street riding. At least the system I heard. I do not know what model it was (R-55, maybe?) but it was a tri-oval like you have in your link. There is a removable quiet baffle on Yoshis but they are pretty loud at high rpm even with baffle in.

I heard Ti-Force is a quiet and high quality pipe. Nice looking and light too. The high mounts look awesome on the 14.

Yeah, beware of sound clips. They are better than nothing but really only good to give you some sort of starting point to judging sound. Best you can do is visit a bike gathering and ask to hear some exhausts.

Don't get me wrong, i DO want a loud exhaust, but not one u can't even leave early (which i have to most of the time) for work. I do prefer a Exhaust with deep tones though, to make ur body SHAKKEEE!!!! though, my first choice is a Yoshimura Exhaust now. http://www.yoshimura-rd.com/sectionroadpipeindex.aspx?imsec=road# - The R77.

It isn't Deep toned at all. But it has the looks atleast hehehhe.......

Those are great looking pipes for a 14. I think they are considered to be fairly quiet. I heard an R-77 single on a GSX R1000 and it was very mellow at idle but when he ripped it, it sounded mean and loud. I would be happy with a bike sounding like that. The bike I heard may have had the quiet baffle removed.

I am almost certain Kruz has R-77 slipons and he loves them. He would be able to tell you oodles of info on Yoshimura.

AH yes. That looks like it was made for the ZX-14. Speaking of that, I don't know why Kawi doesn't do a better job aesthetically with exhausts. It seems like Suz and Honda are at least trying. The 14's exhaust has virtually no thought put into how it looks (other than the holes in end cap) and that is certainly not true of the rest of the bike.

Yeah. I heard Yoshimura actually started out as a Engine company or something alike, and made their custom exhausts it increase performance on their bikes. The exhausts did so well they actually focussed on Exhausts mainly in the end

Matzuke...i found THE pipes! Cant afford them, but if i could these are them.

You would need to get off your bike three blocks from the house so you dont wake the neighbors.

Don't forget to check the "For Sale" section on this site. Lots of good deals.

BTW, over here we just have one good site for second-handed bikes. What sites do you use in America etc. to look for some nice ZX14's ?

^^Right here. Used 14 come up for sale now and again. I wouldn't doubt if there is one right now for sale. Not in the market, myself. Ebay would probably be a good place to check. Of course you could just google "used ZX-14 Netherlands" and I'm sure you would find a few.
