I can guarentee it won't turn in like stock.
So if you have good mountain roads like I do, a corner you used to take (stock) at 60 mph is about a 40 mph corner with that stretch.
Personally, while I understand posing, I can't see reducing the performance characteristics, as far as handling goes, when you aren't gonna actually drag race it.

I do drag race and the reason I'm stretching mine is to keep the front down. I was just trying to get info from someone who has their bike stretched I see all kinds of negative posts about stretching a bike but 98% of those posts are by people that don't have their bike stretched.

I don't race.....period. But for the longest time I've wanted a bigger bike. Something I could dress up and bling out. Something more practical for me and my wife to ride. But still have the sporty look. I'm not one to push the limits of my bike on the road. I just cruise. I'm sorry Privateer if you feel differently. Yes ...stretching affects handling. But don't act like those saddle bags you got are gonna quicken your lap times. Bottomline......I like the way it looks. So Conneaut14 if your willing to sacrifice handling in the corners for better straight line runs I say do it. But if you like to carve it up in the twisties, then maybe stretching is not the way to go. The beauty with extentions.....you can always take them off.

Privateer this is a thread about the mans bike and what he has done to it... not a thread for everyone to bash stretched bikes he likes it and its his so that's what matters.... I am asking him questions because of his setup if I wanted to know how hard bags affected the bike I'd come to you but I wouldn't come to your picture thread calling you a poser for setting your bike up like a connie... everyone has there likes and dislikes that's just a fact of life.
Frankly I don't have big enough balls to push the bike to its limits in the curves and we don't have roads to do that on anyways.
When you say it affects the handling how bad is it? Do you mean you just have to take corners and curves a little slower or is it a drastic change? Have you noticed any loss of traction?
I've got my extensions, lowering links are on the way, I'm ordering a 150 link EK zzz chain and I have a Busa spring to put on.

Just my I put a 5mm packer on my 04CBR1100 rear monoshock, it reduced the wheel base about 20mm !!! then it turned 100% around the twisty roads a lot harder/faster I could then keep up with a 08 R1000,09 GSX600R and a 2010 GSX750r bike in the tight corners, before "reducing" the OEM CBR1100 "wheelbase" it couldn't keep up with the Sports Bikes on twisty corners, I found out this imformation from the CBR1100xx forum and that was less than 1 "INCH" Reduced wheelbase, im not bagging the stretching !! just telling the truth about the differance of a longer wheelbase ps Wildwoods it's what you like it looks great for yourself
