If I understand you correctly you are asking if the ZX14 rides better than our last bike, are your brand loyal, is she bulletproof and can we find enough accessories, right?

well, hell yes the ZX14 rides sooo much better than my last bike. I went from a Honda XR650L to the 14. Every thing about the 14 is better.

Am I a brand loyalist? I would have to say no, I buy what I like and what I feel is better than the other brands for that style of bike, and $$$$$$. I guess that is why I have:
1 Suzuki GSXR750
2 Kawasaki's ZX14, KFX700
3 Honda's XR650L, TRX90, TRX300

I would have to say that the ZX is a much better built bike than my XR650L. I have had nothing but trouble with the XR since I bought it new from the dealer. I had less than 2K miles on the XR and had to factory warranty work done on the motor. The front sprocket came loss and wore down the splines on the counter shaft, new counter shaft was a few hundred dollars. But as for the quads, all work great never have any problems with any of them. I just do the maintenance as needed.

And for accessories, they are all over the web for any bike that I have. I have had no issues with it.

That's my $0.02, unless I'm totally off base on what you meant Hub.

Aint sure either what ya mean Hub?I've looked at mine...sitting there...and wondered...IS this the bike I really do want?I've had er now going on 4 years. In all truth...I think I've spent more coin on this bike than I ever spent on a Harley.However....the enjoyment factor has been totally #1.My last bike was a zx12.Sweet bike...fast as hell.Reliable.But I never spent that much on er...oil,gas,tires.That was about it really.Ah,ya buy stuff ya want at the time.Change things around.Change yer mind...take things off.Still...the stock bike is just too good to let go of.Just last night I reinstalled my stock black lower belly fairings, and the ram tube covers.Took my helis off there a week ago.Stock screen.Stock clipons.Stock height. But I'm not about to go get something else. This bird feels perfect to me.I'm a tad tall,so I need something that isn't gonna make me look "too big" for the bike. This 14 was just right. Not too heavy, faster than all getout.Powerful, and yet compact enough to easily feel comfortable riding. Not big and bulky. The ride quality IMO has no real equal.I definitely am very happy to own this bike.It aint yer average Harley,or street cruiser...yet it can easily do that all day long.I feel my 14 is VERY SPECIAL.It isn't a "track bike" full on,but it handles and performs just fine for my wants.Kawasaki made a very special and complete bike when they designed THIS one.I really couldn't see buying anything else.I am single...so that DOES make a bit of difference in "WHY" someone may or may not want a bike like ours.I don't ride two up.If I was committed to doing that,I'd probably go with a Concours.

IMO...I think Kawasaki has created the BEST set of sportbikes in the industry. My zzr1200 NEVER had any issues...none.My zx12 NEVER had any issues...not one.My 14 has so far continued that path and she's not been babied either.Still she runs flawlessly and as smooth as glass.Brand Loyal....well,I guess in regards to their high end performance sportbike(s),yes,I guess I am.For me...a lot of my riding enjoyment comes from knowing that the machine I own is not leaving a paper trail of repairs and stuff to keep it "on top".Now...I didn't know that stuff like sprockets and chains and tires were gonna be as "often" as they have been...but the overall bike has definitely been worth the expense to me.I think I'm the only one in my state...maybe another guy as well...that owns a 14.NOBODY knows what this thing is when I pull up alongside. One guy asked"Is that a Hayabusa?"(he was on some metric cruiser)."Nope...zx14 my friend...world's fastest and most powerful production motorcycle on the planet!"...that's what I left him with. This bike is GREAT!!I LOVE IT!

I can't think of any other time in my life when I had a bike, that I actually WANTED to go ride...in 25 degree weather...cause the bike was so much fun!(course, right now...too much ice out there...but if it was clear..ya...I'd be out you bet).

Besides...after my initial accident...and subsequent "rebuild"...me and my baby have a bond goin on.I couldn't get rid of er...no way. This bike has been too good to me.

This bike is up there with the other brands that have acquired a MYSTIQUE about em.The 14 surpassed the Busa in all areas when it first came out.Maybe it didn't or hasn't sold like the Busa...but the uniqueness of this bike will always place it in a category of it's own.It aint a cruiser...it's a fast azz monster sportbike made for carving canyons at high velocities and outrunnin virtually every bike on the road.It wasn't designed for kids. It's a grownup's machine for serious fun.

My bike makes me think when I'm ridin. That's good.Cause this baby will hurt ya real quick if yer not. That's part of the FUN FACTOR!!!!

The ability of this bike to go from high speed, controllable performance and thrill to throttle back smooth cruising and relaxing is just perfect IMO.Every ride is a new experience in enjoying the engineering of this machine.I feel safer on my baby than I do in my car.THAT's hard to find with a motorcycle.

Ya..it's got plastic panels and NO CHROME...that's what makes it different as well. The styling speaks for itself.EVERYONE knows this bike is made to fly!So cool....just awesome my 14.

Bought new in 2008 , still nothing out there any better, that to me is a good indicator that I got it right when I bought it.
Nealy 3 years up and it still has the WOW factor sitting still in the shed or running hard down the road.
If you look at the hype they said about it when it was released, with the passing of time it has passed all the expectations and tests ,it has lived up to and exceeded what they said it would be

Great bike great value, stands alone amongst a sea of contenders

2006 - till now know of no bike good enough to come second , if I lost this one I'd buy another

Blue covered it!!

THIS...is interesting. Is this engine actually a hybrid...or are there other American designs already in bikes out there.Twin V Twos?Isn't the V-Max virtually the same design? It doesn't look too "new" to me...but....

Blue Honda has had that out for awhile now over here, Its called a ST 1100, about early 2002 - 3 it went to 1300cc in Auss they have stoped selling them as the VFR 1200 replaces it, same with the VFR 800. the 800 had a V4 but running the other way, fantastic engine as you expect from honda the bike is a battle ship more tourer that sport, great engine though. Europe calls it a Pan-European I think.

They are looking for foreign made production?

Really? Where did you see that? I hope not. A big part of what intrigues me about the Motus is that it is supposed to be designed and built in the USA. It's the only American made motorcycle I've been excited about the release of. Well, I guess I was a little excited when Buell first teamed up with HD... what a let down that ended up being. I hope they do it right. In a depressed economy, I'd like to support an American company.

"Engineered in Michigan, designed and built in Alabama, featuring an all-new, 1650cc V4 engine, the 2011 Motus MST-01 sport-tourer could put America back on the map as a builder of high-performance, sport-oriented motorcycles."

^^^lies?^^^

I'll stick with my inline 4.

"Could put America back on the map as a high performance, sport oriented motorcycle builder"....really....when was this?Somehow I don't recall seeing the American builders having ANY sport oriented, high performance motorcycles. No offense to them...just sayin.Buell was the closest.Maybe...the ONLY?

I shouldn't be so critical...really.The Motus is a nice engine...I hope they do well.

The ONLY "new" bike I would ever consider...just as a unique and different platform...would be a turbine bike like Leno has. They ARE in production...and quite reliable from what I've seen.

2 valve push rod engine this thing must be aimed straight at the baby boomer Harley fringe dwellers, looking for that little piece of the 1950-1960 magic

Good luck to them

Used to ride in a Ford Transit Van with a motor just like that one in about 1975 I think.

Not that I like there product but you have to give it to BMW they built that K 1200 engine and the whole world said they would never compete with the japs , now the whole company and all its products have gone through the roof because they are close to being competitive with the japs on and off the track.

Would love to see these guys have ago with future Technology or current even .!!

Were are they going to put those 10 inch or more long air intake pipes. will need major air box to avoid air restriction when installed or dyno numbers are going south.

You can jump ship or you can straddle two gunwall to gunwall. I do. Kruz, hell he must be doing a heck of a dance back and forth between those 5 bikes.

Can see the old girl in the back ground there Hub, and is that your nephew's Harley there.

Can see you playing games with us Hub, and the Aprilia too, looks like a short wheel base will turn good but those shunts up the ass on the bumpy roads will have you crying for the old silver bullet again.

Took a 2011 ZX 10 and 2011 Z1000 demo for a test ride up the mountain the other day, came back disappointed with both.

My 14 will be around for awhile yet.

You know...I scoured the internet looking for four wheel liftoffs of ANY vehicles. From a standing start.Plenty of wheelie action...indy cars flipping at speed...ya.Strange....not one vid of a bike or car going up off it's wheels.Oh well....whoever comes up with that vehicle is gonna be richer than their wildest dreams!....ahem...the "harrier" doesn't count!

I must say, Hub, you did that very sneakily. MNobody knows you have another bike. Kruz mentioned you have an Aprillia sitting next to the 14 in some pics. I said, Yeah.....I think I remember seeing something about that.....I think.

Well, congrats!! hope you enjoy the new bullet bike.
