Also let us know if your just "flashed" or have a complete ECU tune..
Some are haveing there bikes flashed(unrestricted) but not tuned... Or tuned via PCV ...

Hub - No, mine has not been flashed. I'm completely pleased with my ZX ... except I keep reading how much more awesomer it is after getting flashed ... so I was just curious if anybody has encountered anything negative about getting a flash (besides the money).

ZX14R,
I'd say the main guy here is Grn for the cutting edge seat of the pants. I can't keep up with him, so what he says goes. Tires, fairings, etc., you get the idea: and now about the flashing. I've been listening so I don't think he's blowing smoke. Here's the caveat. I think it's going to cost if say you trade it in? OR, It might be a selling point, I don't know?
I agree, the bike needs more power, but those are tires or more rides in the tank. If you don't have a light exhaust to cut the weight down, and I'm not getting into a pissing party with who blows smoke the best. I'm saying it lets more of the 'hulk' out: is one more shot in the arm.
Then, if you are on one side of the fence; and someone says a pig is one more pep; and the other side says this works with flash alone; is that I'm not going to get started in on a farting contest about one more $ha-ding in the wallet; if you know what I mean.
How much are we up to? Pipe/Pig/Flash X's never ends = _______ Fill in the amount.
Grn, Ya kind of soaked my pants esplain'inn the debriefs.

Grn- yes I know it all can be done via ecu.. But some are doing both or one and not other.. So I wanted to know full details IF anyone is having an issue..

The only issue is you will have to watch your speed more often / harder. The bike just wants to be fed more and more throttle. MPG is up with the speed as well. Stop worrying and get Cblasted.

The Cblast flash truly is ALL you need.No PC5....I had a Brock's/Guhl flash on my first 14R.....and a PC5(with Brock's mapping)....gotta say....the Cblast flash is light years ahead of those guys.EVERYTHING just runs better.;)You get Cblasted...you won't believe it;)

Ok so I have a 07zx14, with full R77 exhaust, K&N filter, Removed flies, PCV, and dyno tuned. It is sitting at 173 hp. My question, is does flashing the ecu change the restriction in the first few gears, or was that the flies? The bike has power down low, just seems like it should have more below 7000 rpm.
thanks, chris

Flies:
a. Fuel demand comes from the vacuum pulled under/over the throttle plates.
b. Fuel demand comes on quicker with one throttle plate removed.
c. Fuel demand is met no matter the vacuum pull as in the speed of light: the demand was waiting at the door it's so fast.
Gears:
a. The box still reads a frequency.
b. The gearPsensor has 7 frequencies.
c. The first few gears [and the rest] still sends that frequency so as far as the flash having any influence, no, I'm sure you could not tell from one gear set to the next just as if it was stock.

Mine has plenty of git up and go above 3000. 7000, it accelerates almost like an electric motor in 1-3 gears. That's how I feel but you may need more.

Keep in mind most of gains guys are feeling in the 14R Models do not relate to what the issue is in the early Gen 14s. That being said those guys who tried a 14R Flashes have not tried a Gen 1 Bike flash and can't offer and honest opinion. Unless they have tried both of course. Opinions must be different as the fix is different. Make sense ? Shoot me a PM if you want it fixed and a smile in your helmet. Cost is still 250 or Free if you change your mind after.

Unlike many other here my ECU was done by Ivan and I do have a PC installed with his map. Did not know about CBlast when I had my ECU done, would have used Ivan anyway since I am most familiar with his work. I know from reading the posts that the CBlast flash is excellent and would recommend it to anyone. I do like that Ivan turns the fans on sooner to keep the bike cooler around in town and I HATED the fuel cut which is gone now.

Chris I have a 2007 as well, Romans reworked my ecu and it's an unbelievable difference. He offers your money back if your not happy, I don't know for sure but I doubt he's ever had to give any money back.

I'm not happy with my flash!!!
My ear drums pop, every time I wail down the street. My wrists hurt trying to hang on and I hate having to constantly run from my friends in law enforcement. Beyond that each flash should come with a get out of jail free card.
