how do you get rid of the governator / limiter that keeps the bike from going over 186mph. and what is safe to do so without causing more problems??

i read some of your guys post.. good info .. glad to have joiined this forum.

Also heard a while back that there was a way to disable the limiter by grinding off the points on a nut on the front sprocket shaft. Haven't heard about this for a while. Recently read about same mod for busas. It is very inexpensive to replace the nut.

you'll lose your gear indications as well.

I use a speedohealer V4. The 14 is restricted by the speedometer, and the speedohealer has 2 settings you can switch between with the push of a button, one lets the speedometer read accurate, and the other makes the speedometer read low so you can bypass the limiter. The best 109 bucks I ever spent
