Full Muzzy's Exhaust
02/29/12 9:51 AM

I'm debating on a full Muzzy's m14 ehaust with megaphone in black. I can get it for the price of some major slip-on manufacturers. Does anyone have this system? I know that there is the whole Brocks/Muzzy's debate out there but I'm not interested in spliting hairs over that. My question - is it a good system? and will I have to get a PC or do any fuel mapping at all? can I leave the fuel settings alone and still have a solid bike?

I have the full M14 with the Carbon fiber can and its great! Love the sound. I would stay away from the megaphone though A buddy bought it and it was a little on the loud side if you ride alot.....

Yes, a PowerCommander and custom dyno tuned fuel map will give you the best results.

Want you want is to achieve the proper air/fuel mixture which can be measured on a dyno.

Have you removed the secondary flies yet?

Noise isn't too much of an issue since I mostly ride with a lid on. I had a competition werkes gp exhaust on my r6 before I went with the tbr and loved the sound.

I haven't done anything to it yet...still has that new bike smell to it

I can make the motors run and take them apart and whatnot on older bikes but I still need to learn more about dynos and fuel mapping and playing with all that new tech on the new beasts.

I had a tbr pipe and juice box for my r6 and used what they recommended and it worked great.

Either way I'm willing to learn

zxrider11 - is it necessary to remove the flies on a 2008 - 2011 bike? I keep reading that it's only helpful on the 06-07.

It is less helpful on 2008+ bikes.

You'd be better off to have Don Guhl put your bike on his dyno and re-flash based on the results. You aren't that far away, he is in mid-southern PA near the Maryland border somewhat. You are in SE Ohio? So pretty close to WV? So not far from Guhl.

It would be a fun trip.

EDIT: plus if you have Guhl re-flash based on dyno runs, you don't need a power commander at all, the flies will open pretty much right off idle, so you get all the benefits of flies out without having to take flies out.

Get your exhaust and power commander then get a hold of this guy he will work his magic on your bike.
