OK,OUR 3rd ANNUAL MEET & GREET is up for a relocation looks like we are moving it to Deals Gap aka the Dragon!

So this thread is to see what we can put together a trip for OUT 3rd ANNUAL MEET & GREET so let's see what sticks so come on put your 2cents in and join in on building this thing!

Who's In & Who's Out I'm going to say that we have to be looking at sometime in August maybe 2nd week or weekend? Tell me whatcha think.

I'll be hittin the tail again this year with a few other zx14 riders. We're planning on going 2nd or 3rd weekend in September. I'll watch this to see how it shapes up.

I'm in! I'm pretty sure most of August is good for me. I'll have to double check but I'm pretty sure I'm good to go.

NY, PA, VA, can pretty much be done over a long weekend for most of us. Deals gap would require a few days at least. Everyone who shows interest please post up preferred date and location.

My suggestions are above. If we do deals gap I hope Roy (caroobs) makes another appearance!

ZX14Beast, Great this is the push that could make this happen. Which way would you be heading down to the Gap, hopefully we could all hook up along the way and roll in together.

Hey Dave,
I am heading down with two other ZX14's (Paul and Larry) Both really good guys. Also coming with us is my brother on his M109R, Jon on his Superduke and Stephan (another friend you haven't met) on his Meanstreak. We went last year together and decided to make it a yearly trip. We stayed at the D.G Resort and plan on making reservations again there next week. We all enjoyed the evenings there with the fire pit/bbq/beers after the days rides.
Black1 - we are coming via Sarnia crossing into Michigan and through Ohio, etc. I believe last year it took us approx. 11 hours to make the trek. Would be sweet if we could all be down there at the same time. This year we want to do the devil's triangle as we missed doing it last year.

If we could all make it during the same dates, it would be cool.

Joe, I usually back road it down to VA and stay over in Harrisonburg. If you guys coming from your end want to meet there we can grab dinner and drinks and carry on the next day down to deals gap together.

sept after labour day would be best,fewer people on holidays,less traffic,to the gap ,at the gap and from the gap

It works for me looks like we are the only players in this game. Has anybody made lodging plans yet?

I'm about to book. Heading down with 3 other ZX14's. We're planning on booking... looks like Sept. 24 through to the 28th. Sounded like Dave905 can't get time off midweek.

Unfortunately, my holiday blocks have to be Monday to Friday. I could tag along on the Wednesday but would have to leave the Sunday to make it back for work on the Monday. I did straight line run home last year in a day, not much fun. Trying to avoid having to do that. So that leaves me heading down on a Saturday morning, stopping halfway and getting to the gap on Sunday. Just in time for the weekend crowd to head out and leave it relatively quiet.

Right now I'm looking at the second week of September. AJS is confirmed as well. I'll see if the next week or so if there's anymore interest from here before I start booking accommodations.

Anytime works for me just let me know when we are making permanent plans. I have 6 bikes that would be ready to roll...

4 of us are riding up from FL in Sept to Cherokee, NC to get on the southern start of the Blue Ridge Parkway and ride the entire thing plus the extension Skyline Drive at the N end.

I'll be at the Valley Inn, Maggie Valley, NC. Sept. 10-12.

So what dates are we doing this?

I'll be off from sept 5 to 15 th,any times confirmed yet?

Has anything been ironed out yet?

I am in Berkeley Springs WV about 10 hours north of the Dragon. There's another one called "Back of the Dragon" between Marion and Tazewell along Rt. 16 north and south. I'm game to check out that one and also ride down for the meet and greet.

But need firm dates!

Apexlocator, that's great glad to hear it can't wait to meet you and ride the landscape with you as well!

OK Folks! I spoke with black1 (joe) tonight and here is the plan. We meet in Harrisonburg, VA on Saturday Sept 12th. Most likely at the Best Western. It's reasonably priced and walking distance to everything. Sunday Sept 13th we slab it down to deals gap. At a decent pace should put us there late afternoon on Sunday. Monday- Tuesday we explore the fine roads in the area and make our way north on Wednesday.

There's a couple of options on where to stay in dragons tail area but we need to have an idea of how many are coming. Nows the time to post up if you will be joining!

Apexlocator (frank) I belive this puts us just south of you in VA. You can meet us in the morning on Sunday and we can all roll down together!

I'll be calling for lodging in the next day or two. Please post if you're coming!
