Muzzy m14 header/m10 can
BMC air filter
pc5.
I loaded the EDR map provided by DogoZX.
Sounds spectacular but getting a little back firing. I nee to do the TPS thing I guess. If that does not take care of it I do have the map provided by Muzzy.

Yep I used to hate the sound of it (back fire) but it grew on me, you could try a TRE and block off plates but IMO it's just too much work and $$$$ for something that won't affect the bike. Just like Romans said even if you put the muzzy map you'll get the same thing. Set the TPS though, it's important. Nice looking 14 you've got there. Where did you get the windscreen?

Thank you gents. I will do the TPS today.
Hopefully it will grow on me. Love the weight loss. packed in the box with peanuts and paper the whole system weighed 18 lbs in the box!
BTW......I had the busa with the Yoshi full exhaust and never a backfire!

They all do! It's a typical 14 thing! My muzzy slip ons back fired a little bit more than the D&D's. For every mods that you're going to make you're going to give something up. Sometimes it s not noticeable, and sometimes it just goes "poof" loool

getting a little back firing
PAIR removed with block off plates is the next step but it won't be any improvement in pop reduction.

Here is the deal as I understand it. Your bikes computer shuts the fuel off on decell. So, if your running ten thousand RPM and your throttle position goes to Zero, the TPS sensor tells ECU to turn Fuel off. Then when the bike winds down to 3800 rpm, ECU send info to turn Fuel Back On and,,,,, BOOOOM, all in a effort to save on Fuel, emissions or,,, hug a tree or whatever your into. I understand why guys would like it and why others may hate it.
It's Great on a sport touring bike but realllllly really stupid in and out of corners. Should be on a switch. I hate it.
I have the TRE006A on all my bikes. Fuel cut Sucks 4 me, mainly Because I'm not a touring guy. What does it really save you a buck per tank ?
I'm also sure no one likes a Back Fire through there Brand New pipes, Yikes. My Turbo Bike has a TRE 006A and makes auto tune much easier to work with. Take it for what it's worth ,,,, Fuel Cut = Booooo.

That is one stumble bumble mapiss crapiss. I could piss in the tank and it would run better.
1. We have digital TPS-is in the 14's. You move that puppy out of an inch of it's life and she codes. Ask me I know. That is how precision the bike is. Busa's tps has an 0 and - and a 00 kind of get it in the middle is the '-' tps? That is more your old [on the tip of my tongue] but can't get it out kind of version.
2. I believe you see a lean but not a zero fuel cut. You'd lean that puppy out something fierce. Watt my understanding is; there is no jet; so you shut the throttle down; how would you slow the bike down but not lean it with oxygen like a torch? We have to add kinetic energy upon compression. Then, we start burning parts with a lot of heat and no fuel to cool things down. That TPS moves open a split second, you feel no sudden burst of fuel or anything but a smooth transition as if a carb was smoothing all the work.
3. I also read a [generic] windows type programmable readout of ECU language. It was showing times of what happened at a certain crank 'time' of the engine speed. It also showed what gear it was running in. In other words, we are narrowing down millionths of seconds of counts. It says, I saw an open throttle at this millionth of a second. And you know those are thousands of rpms and millions or billions of counts being calc'd in the ECU. That little guy has your hand position covered.

So if I understand your post correctly that is a bad map that muzzy sent me?
Other than taking it to Denver to dyno it and set the map is there anywhere else I can try to get one?
I am entirely new to the zx-14 so I can use some help.
Thank you.

BTW Romans you called it backfire is still there but GREATLY minimized with muzzy's map.
By no means, Fotis. It says; low-stumble-rich. This is where your [fuel] 'Greatly minimized'; fills/heats that air gap sorta speak; back out the pipe. Revving the engine only says so much about the tune. It's the drive-ability of it. Are you smooth out the gate, then, all the way up top? Period!
If you stumble out the gate? See the tuning structure you have to tune bye?; you try to beat the next guy to the next corner, you stumble out of that slow apex. Like a sharp edge of the sword of the ninja. You tune it like that. There is not a nick down that blade, nor the rpm range from 0 to Redline.

So map wise should I stay with the EDR? Go with the one Muzzy gave me (on there now) or go with the muzzy supplied by the PCV (don't' know if it is different from the one Muzzy supplied).
You guys have all the experience...... I do not have a tuning center in Wyoming unfortunately.
This map thing really has me stressed out.

Don't let let it... par for the course... decel fuel cut on modern Kaws sucks... install a TRE 006a... no more pop.
This map posted here but it is made for Brock's exhaust?
Actually, it was made for a TiForce... but I've used it with my Brocks CT... it should be a good map for '08-'11 zx14's with any 4:2:1 system.
I do not have a tuning center in Wyoming unfortunately.
AFR gauge is the way to go, IMO... only way for true piece of mind.

OK fellas, being as anal as I am I went and dunoed it today.
It was way too rich the tech said.
Anyway it made Max power 173.90
max torque 102.61 at 6000 feet altitude.....after the tuning and mapping
