Not sure what you mean by "lock nut".The stock clip-ons have a welded nut in the bar end for the installation of the bar end weights. That welded nut does not come out.The grips themselves PROBABLY have factory sealant(glue) in the inside of the grip so they won't just slide around. The Throttle grip is connected to the throttle tube-which is removable by removing the bar end weight.(after loosening and separating the throttle housing).Looking at the parts diagram,it appears the stock throttle grip is ONE PIECE(actually,it's TWO-the grip, and the tube(which you can't see on the diagram). So,you need to remove that grip itself-somehow(the shops use high pressure air and shoot it in there between the two pieces-then it breaks the grip free of the tube).I'm not sure if the roaring toys chrome grip will slide over the tube or not-it probably will.In which case you just get the stock grip off there however you can without damaging the tube itself. If the roaring toys grip doesn't slide somehow over the tube-well,I don't know what you'll do?But you'll need an adhesive to "lock" the chrome grip onto the tube.Frame sliders? That I don't know anything about-probably just unscrew the bolts and reinstall the slider with locktite to factory specs?(in the service manual near the front under fastener torques).(engine mount bolts)Possible caution when removing those upper engine bolts-make sure there's no engine movement BEFORE you fully remove them?Just a thought.I'd think doing them one side at a time would probably be best, just in case.
