ECU/Flash question
12/31/15 11:40 PM

I have a spare ECU from a 2012 zx14 that I was going to get flashed, but then wrecked my 2012 bike. Would it work in my new 2015 zx14 with ABS? I don't want to experiment with it if someone already knows the answer...
Thanks, and Happy New Year!

Yes, interchangeable. ABS became standard about 2014 or there about? My '013 model has ABS as an option. My flashed '012 may have the ABS already built inside the ECU. Design wise, the 14 came standard with ABS when first conceived. Seems the euro side of the world had it, but not the west side here for example. However, the 'not used' or empty pin connector housing hole; has the ABS wires eliminated in a non-ABS bike. But the pins in the ECU are ready for that wire to be inserted into the harness connector. I assume this because when the flashed '012 is plugged into my '013 harness = no ABS codes pop up.

I am pretty sure someone has already found out it does not work.
