Two thoughts. One, just download a good map and forget the autotune. Two, since you don't require much power you can tap in to the left running light. I have a tap on my running light I use for my GPS and or phone charger, works great and is easy to get to.

Not a dumb question, people ask because they don't know!

I used the license plate light harness coupler under the seat. That won't help you if you plan to have your electronics under the ram air cover.

i had to ask, too. i still don't know what a switched power source is but I know the license plate light must be one.

IIRC the pcv instructions mention what wire they recommend to tap into forthe autotune. The running light is obviously a switched power source. I used the LP light wire as my source for the quick shifter that plugs into the PCV

My auto tune is connected to the running light. As Rktsled explained. Had no issues with it.

It just means the circuit is energized when the key is on and dead when the key is off. Switched.

I also used the running light, works like a charm. Also, IMO the autotune is worth its weight in gold provided you don't wanna take it to a tuner. Even with a good map it could use some tweaking for your area/bike.

Thanks, Mav. The switch is the ignition. I thought it might be some other switch like the high beam switch or the horn switch. Makes sense that the power source should correspond to the ON/OFF of the ignition switch. You want the PC to be working all the time the bike is running.
