I'm sure many of you have dealt with MS. It's not so much that MS is bad, but the have one annoying issue. For whatever reason, they insist that I be home at the time of delivery sign for the package. Now, this isn't what you're thinking. I can't just call UPS and tell them to "hold for pickup". Motorcycle-Stupidstore puts a restriction on delivery that I cannot ask UPS just to hold it, and go pick it up!

I know...really stupid. So UPS tells me I as the customer have to call and beg MS to remove this restriction. Well, I'm done with MS. None of the at least half dozen online retailers have this kind of policy. It's ridiculous and much easier for me just to do business elsewhere.

I suppose they had too many refund requests for stuff that never arrived to the customer. I have left a note on my door with my sig for the UPS guy in the past and it worked but maybe they changed their policy.

That sounds like a load of crap. 30 years at UPS, and I've never heard of a restriction that doesn't allow for pick-up. What difference does it make where you sign for it? Did you call the UPS 800 number, or the actual delivery hub? See if you can get the hub's number. I'll bet they'll be happy to hold it for you, and MS would never know.

Next time you get one of UPS's delivery notice slips. If B is checked, it meaans you cannot just sign the notice, put it on your door, and the UPS driver will take it tomorrow. Now, that's no problem. I just go to the UPS hub it's a couple miles away. But MS put a additional restriction, as I stated that REEUIRES I only can receive the package at the time it's delivered by UPS. When I called the 800 number and put the info notice number in, went through the normal options, it put me through to a live person that told me MS had put that special restriction on there for who knows why? The last time the lady just changed it or called MS or something, and changed it.

I don't feel like posting a screen shot, at any rate here's the UPS tracking info. I know it doesn't quite read out like I'm saying but MS had to call UPS and authorizing the option for "hold for pickup".

I didn't mean I didn't believe you Vic, just that the restriction sounded like crap. I can't see UPS agreeing to that restriction. They just want the package gone. I still don't understand what difference it makes where you sign for it, at home or at the hub. Can you accept packages at work? UPS never had a problem delivering to my jobsite when I left a note, or called. FedX won't reroute a package, but UPS never refused me. But then, who knows with MS restriction.

I know alg8er. It is a load of crap. Fortunately, I no longer have to worry about it. I've probably ordered from over 20 different stores and companies the past 6 months. The only one I've had this problem with is MS. So screw them as far as I'm concerned.

I do like my new helmet though. But it's a Scorpion 500, could get it anywhere. Look for a review soon.

MCSS doesn't seem to always have the best prices but they do have a lot of stuff if you can't find it elsewhere for less.
