Those of you who've known me are aware I have two Great Danes. Since drawing breath for the first time I've had beasties.

Two weeks ago while on Lake Chautauqua my lovely other half texts me she found a 2yo Harlequin on Craigslist that needed a home.

WTF was I gonna say? No? As if.

Oh! Introductions... I'm pretty slow sometimes.

From the right is The Bashie aka Queen Bee aka BIG BEASTS... she f*cking loves being called Queen Bee. Can't explain it. Her proper name is Bathsheba but only my pappy calls her that.

In the middle is Freya aka Freya-bug aka Lil' Beasts. She's a nibbler... of your nose.

And finally, Bella. I know, I know... 75% of Great Dane females are named Bella. It's her OEM name and I don't feel like spending two months changing it.

In case you're wondering, yes, they sleep in bed with us. The two black ones INSIST on being under the covers. Never have any of my Labradors or Airedales wanted covered.

And they snore. Badly.

I have shook with intimidation when confronted by Rome's Mauler! Pheeew glad to survive that man killer everytime I come over!

Hagrid; Awesome dogs. I really miss my great danes. Putting the last one down was REALLY hard. No dogs for the first time in 50 years.

I get nauseous just thinking about it.

I've got a bobcat too, as long as you keep her well fed, they don't disturb other animals. Key is to keep her topped up!

UPDATE: Additional beast has figured out that under the covers is "the berries" as my pappy puts it. So... yeah. Three Great Danes under my blankies.

This is currently advantageous however: the weather system that just moved through brought a sustained northwesterly wind behind it. The bedroom is cold and I've been availing myself of warm puppy bellies.

Quite cozy.

Just be careful what you feed them puppies, or you'll be trying to survive a windstorm of epic proportions! The world's worst dutch oven.

The beasts go through 45 kilos/month. The human beans consume $400 of my hard earned grocery dollars.
