Lol... the $400 is just for my bobcat, her useless 14yo son, and me. Puppy fuel expenditures run aboot $100.
A word on poos: I think the raccoons are eating them. There are very few poos to encounter in the yard.

Hagrid: I have two danes now;a blue and a merle. We had a terrible tornado May 2011, 5 miles from here, in Joplin, MO. A week after the storm a family called me that could no longer keep their 11 month old merle dane and asked if I would take him. I did.
Last year a friend of mine died and his wife asked me to take their 3 year old blue dane. He was a mess !!! Severly dehydrated, nervous stomach, sick and going blind. Weighed 105 only and very tall so he really was skin and bone. The merle is shorter but weighs 160. Anyway, she asked if I didnt take him would I drive him to the vet and have him put to sleep for her. Couldnt have that!
Found a dog food that agreed with his nervous stomach and began bringing him back to health. Took him to the vet and he has macular degeneration and it can only get worse. Currently he is 130, healthy, happy and a great dog. He cant see anything nearby but can see things that are distant. People that meet him dont even know he is blind.
I had a chance a month ago to get a third dog which ironically was also a harlequin. My wife said no more dogs! Its him or me. A day later I called to pick up the dog but it already had a home, so I still have a wife.
My brindle died last year at 9 and the year before I lost a harlequin. They are great dogs and I have a ball with them.
I went to Atwoods farm store today and they allow dogs inside. Took the merle with and he had a ball. The place was packed and he got a lot of attention. Here is a picture of the merle at 11 months.

Hagrid and Wolf: Thanks for the kind words !!! I am certainly no saint but dogs do bring out the best in me...lol !!! I am sure your dogs are well taken care of too ! Next week I am going to visit a lady that has 7 dogs, all rescues. She doesnt have much money so I am bringing along a trunk full of dog food. It will be big fun for sure !!! Hungarian Vizsla was our animal. Loved that dang mutt. Had her since she was a pup! Got to wait till my kids (2 girl boy) get older. Right now it's too much work just to look after them babe's! But in five years a Hungarian Visla it is! A careless motorists took my dog from me! It took three men to restrain me. I was a 19. Been thinking about a dog since. Then university, work and kids. So now I've been thinking about another one!
