Chrly, here are some pics of how the Virb is attached. That fish eye lense is amazing how it just reaches around the front of the bike. The clutch lever does touch at full lock but just barely so no issues when riding. Also the mount and how it is setup is using all OOTB parts so nothing additional was purchased. I am going to turn it around and flip it upside down next which I think will also work for a nice rearward facing shot. Ignore that ugly piece of twine I have tied off to the base. I just wanted to make sure it didnt fall off the first time out and make me feel like an idiot.

I do the same thing with twine on my camera. Rather have an ugly piece of twine than wonder where my camera went at the end of a ride.
Does the speed display self adjust or do you have to set it. I noticed it had a lower graphed top speed in your morning commute compared to you run up into the triple digit.
Problem with displayed speed in videos is speeding evidence in traffic court? When you play back do you have a choice what is displayed or is it a choice made during setup?
Nice videos by the way!

It does measure g force or at least calculated g force based on speed changes chrly.
David the graph resets itself based on the top speed it will need to display in the video. Super cool feature i think. All the graphs and charts are overlays that you can apply or remove in the editing software in just a few seconds. There are some really cool lap timer overlays and info for the track guys.

One just went unsold on ebay for a little less than i paid. So the price to play seems to be in the $160 to $175 range.

Back to the gforce thing. If you watch the second video i posted where i get her over 100 mph there is actually a killer bump in the road at about 8 seconds and you can see a spike in the gforce meter. So it must be real gforce not calculated. Makes sence because it also has an altimeter and those work similar.

That's f---ing AWESOME!!!!
Is this why they call Rossi The Doctor? If so, I'd say high speed is good for the heart! That's sweet. LOL you did your cardio workout for the day!

As moppedmanniemie said, via +ANT. I have an old Garmin Forerunner (or whatever it was called) and it came with a Garmin heart rate monitor. The Virb and I assume the newer model, has a menu option to connect the devices together. I wasn't sure it was going to work as there wasn't an indication that the two devices paired, but they did.

I want to thank you guys that posted the info about the Garmin Virb Elite. I had been on the fence about a gopro (due to cost) and found a factory refurbed deal I couldn't pass up on the Virb. I love the fact that it can include much more info in the recording.
GPS nation has them in white or dark for 119 shipped with a 1 year factory warranty. I ordered one with a 5yr extended warranty and it was only $131 to my door. It'll be here tomorrow and I look forward to playing with it. If I like it (I think I will), Ill order another. OR..... the NON gps virb is only 59 for a refurbed. might order one of those for just rearward video.

What types of mounts have others been using? Post a link or exact model info please. I think I want one that mounts off the steering stem nut. maybe..... Or I might find a way to strap it to a mirror? dunno yet.
How about a helmet mount?

I went for my first ride and made a couple of vids today. They look like they are plenty good enough for what I want. I have to play with which setting Ill use, 1080p 30 or 720p 60. plus which zoom or wide mode, and whether I need the image stabilization thing on or off.
I just stuck the oem mount arm in the rain pouch in the front of my tank bag for now. worked great. video is rendering now, Ill post it here in a few. Next payday I'm getting another from gps nation. cant beat the 130 price tag.
how do you embed a video?
