If i were going to road trip, i'd buy a concourse or a goldwing. I did not buy the zx14 for touring. It's not a touring bike. Its a sport bike. Ride it like its a sport bike, buy a tour bike if you're going to tour it.

that ain't no shitt . i didn't break nothing touring ..but i sure have broken more stuff in 1 year dragracing than in 30 years road racing or touring..

Believe it or not the ZX14 is more comfortable on long hauls than the Concourse 14 to me because you lean over stretching or taking pressure off your back. On a situp bike your vertibrae is compressed and my back starts hurting about 30 minutes into the ride and I start figiting around trying to get comfortable and I have to continually stop to rest my back. The ZX is way more aerodynamic on interstates through turbulance and man what a roll on between 80 and 150 mpg. The ZX is way cooler on the rider too. Why would I want to give up 50hp to be uncomfortable.
