I know the tank bag will hold your laptop, i will check the tail bag when i get home and see if it fits. I want to say yes but i can not be 100% sure right now. Ive got 5 more hours left in my work day and i will check and post back the results.

Is the tail bag able to be used without the saddlebags? I'm interested in the tail/saddle bag combo but would like the option of just using the tail bag alone at times.

They are designed to be used toghether, However if you were to use one or two of the straps from the combo you could easily strap the tail bag to your seat or solo cover with out the saddle bags.

The tail bag will not hold my son's 15.6" e-machines laptop. its close but the laptop is too long to fit in completely.

If you wanted them i could do $165 shipped via USPS with no insurance and no tracking. or i could do $170 shipped via UPS fully insured and trackable. I absolutely hate shipping stuff USPS but because they are cheaper (you get what you pay for) i will let you make that call.
