Last couple days i noticed my belly button is kind of sore. feels like a little bump there beneath my navel. Now it seems the bump might have grown and moved upward. Google --inguinal hernia. Requires surgery. May restrict intestinal blood flow. I had the same symptoms when i was about 30. Nurse friend told me inguinal hernia. went away on its own. Have not done any real heavy lifting or anything else that would cause this....so keep your fingers crossed for me I don't have to let them destroy a perfect innie. If I get laid up, it will be----I don't even know. hope i at least get some attractive nurses, I guess. Cross your fingers for me its not a guy. JK male Nurse Aides kick ass.

In 09 I was diagnosed with a "hiatal hernia". Like you, I didn't do any heavy lifting. Now I suffer from "acid reflux", and had to change my diet and lifestyle completely.

I'm hoping it just goes away. It did 20 years ago so maybe it's just some weird thing like belly button parasites and they will burst out and crawl away like the Alien.

I guess no weight lifting until this clears up...or else that's it for weight lifting here on out.

Had one, been there and done that. You can get one from pushin to hard on the toilet. They put a tire patch on it and I still have a nice lookin innie. Take care and don't ignore it hoping it will go away.

Dude, I'll take a tranny who gives a shit over a hot 22 year old that just wants to go get her shift over any day! I'm pretty sure the only trannies we have around here are in pickups. Haha I knew a lot of good female nurses and CNAs but the guys were exceptional always.

I'm sleeping on my back, not eating much and wearing a weight lifting belt under my shirt. seems to have helped but pretty early to say I'm not herniated.

Sounds more like a Umbilical Hernia, anyways, surgery is Lathroscopic now, so its a real small incision.

Hernia's can and do strangulate, and can cut off blood to major parts of your body, not to say that is will,
but it can, and then you will have major problems.

I had both, inguinal and umbilical. Went in to get the one I felt checked and they found the other one. So I got a two in one day deal. They took care of both at the same time. Out patient, no hospital stay.

Good to know. Seems to have completely gone away. No swelling and no discomfort at all. I'm laying on the floor on my gut and no trouble. I'll keep an eye on it for the future though. It's very comforting to know the surgery is not too bad because one day, I may need it.

Rook, how close to hell are you? Spent a couple weeks in Baraga once for work. Beautiful up there when the leaves are all changing colors.

You mean Hell? There is a Hell, MI isn't there. That kills me! That's WAYYY down in the Lower Peninsula. I'm close to Baraga though. Iron Muntain. About 80 miles due south. Haven't been to Baraga since I was in HS.

Rook, I know this was back in Oct 2016 but hope this didn't return. They say it's quite dangerous to say the least. I'd say get surgery with the quickness because it's nothing to play with.

Now I have a back injury but that's much better after a couple days. Tough getting old.

I guess we're in the same boat. Body is breaking down but still want to ride. Bike makes me better well mentally lol
