Hey, BLUE, same to you from SA and everyone else on the forum. My buddy with a red 06 has one. It has the two holes in it for pressure reduction? His works well cause after a ride he has virtually no insects on his tank around the filler cap area, whereas mine has lots with a normal double bubble. My birthday present to myself on the 11th of January, definitely!

Hi Blue, Happy New Year. Do you have a web site for this item? I'm also looking for some screen options. I'd like to have fewer bugs on me when I get back from a ride.

Hey Guys-Happy New Year!!!The website Red is Kawasakiusa.com-part # 46001-339.They aren't selling them off their site though.I'm going with the MRA(TwistedThrottle).Called an MRA Touring Spoiler Screen.Same windshield.I have an iridium "V" series on there now.Made by Lockhart Phillips. It's a sweet lookin screen. But I just wanted to give the "spoiler screen" a go and see how it performed.About two inches taller than stock-and it's supposed to really work well at wind blast and buffeting.Gonna find out come Spring!. My iridium($79.00)MRA Touring($119.00) ...Kawasaki "Spoiler Screen"($135.00)....Red-Zero Gravity has several good options on their website.Anything resembling the stock shape screen(double bubbles as well)are not gonna give a major change to the windblast or buffeting.I'm usually riding pretty much sitting up-so I get a fair amount of buffet anywhere in between "leaning forward".The Zero Grav TOURING windscreen is very good at deflecting the wind-just have to get used to it's looks-kinda "extreme" lookin at first-but worth the purchase IMO.As for those pesky big bad bugs-only thing that'll help ya with that is a zapper mounted on the frontend! We have those bad boys here-just no gettin around that.I carry a set of rags(one damp, one dry) with me and periodically stop and give my baby a sponge bath.I HATE a dirty bike!!!!!

Hi, BLUE, got the screen and it is on. Looks better than the double bubble, but the wind is blowing too hard to ride. Tomorrow is Saturday, so I am hoping that I can try it. Cheers.

blue07, I have that screen, bought it about 4 weeks ago, what would you like to know ? Fit and finish was excellent had to swap the rubbers over and use original bolts.
I found the original screen a little low and caused a bit of turbulence around the head . Have found that the wind that use to hit me in the chest is a little less and I feel the weight on my wrists a little more especially at slower speeds, once you are above 100-120klms/hr its about the same as before. Turbulence is a lot better , the only fault would be if you wanted to tuck in under the screen at speed it gives off a harmonic hum (not bad) if I put my big boof head in the normal position sound levels are normal. $170.00
If you would like some pics or info glad to help

Hi, Ethin14, have you done high speeds with it? What is the turbulence like then? I am 6ft and a touch and 54, so the old bones can't tuck down so flat anymore. The double bubble at max is not good. Shakes me around like anything. Will see tomorrow, hopefully. Cheers.

Thanks Ethin and Harley.Haven't gotten mine delivered yet.Soon.But I won't be able to ride till Spring!Either of you guys try a Zero Gravity Touring screen yet?If so,how does the MRA compare to the performance of the Zero Grav?I liked the Zero Grav lots-good protection and minimal buffeting. Was trying the MRA to see if the wind protection is close to the Zero.Without the high screen factor.I have no problem tucking-I'm 56,6'1".But with the Zero I have to get my head above the screen lip to decrease any wind noise.Would be nice to not have to sit upright so much to get the quieter area of the screen. If I duck slightly below the Zero lip,it's pretty still. No wind blast or real noise. That position gets old after a while though.I will say with the Zero, the high speed stuff is very comfortable tucked down on the tank.Hoping the MRA will be a good compromise. You guys ever notice with the stock screen how when your riding and kind of leaning in forward how the bike "seems" to handle "quicker"?I thought it was kinda cool actually, but didn't know if I was imagining it or what? The shape of the stock screen gives a different visual perception of the front end when yer looking over it to the road ahead. The roundish shape makes the reflection of the road in front of the bike seem I dunno, somehow "tighter?"I'm probably losing my mind!I need to go ride!!!!!Geez..this always seems to take forever here when the snow hits.

Hi harleyzx1400 I've had it up to 220 k's would say that its better than stock, but its such a personal thing rider position wind noise etc , at that speed I wasn't looking at the screen or wind much, you will always get a blast of some kind at high speeds. I use to have an issue at 140klms with my helmet getting blown all around its a lot better now
no screen will be perfect.

blue07 It's a funny thing under standing wins and losses when you mod the bike at times, I rode it in the rain the other day I thought that water was going to poor in through those holes at the bottom of the screen but to my surprise it was good , in heavy rain I'm sure it will come in, I will just have to wait and see. At first I thought it was a lot of money for a small gain but after awhile I found it was preforming better than I thought I'll have to do a long term test report
Is it realy 1.55 am blue, its 7 pm and daylight here

Put my bike in a ship container and sent it to New Zealand for a 5 week holiday with a mate left the wifes at home . was a great thing and didn't cost as much as I thought . If you do do it blue you can bunk here for awhile some great rides start from here.

Tried the screen on Saturday. The wind was blowing hard so I could not go over 180 km/h, but it seems to be slightly better. Difficult to say, but it is wider and taller than the double bubble. I noticed I am still getting a lot of insects on my visor, so it makes no difference there. The insects around the tank filler are less, but I did not max it so I will see this weekend. Still, I think it was a worthwile investment. Looks good, anyway.

Hey harleyzx1400 you tried the new screen huh. You mentioned that you are getting bugs on your visor. But more importantly are you getting a lot of turbulance and/or wind noise and low frequency booming from your helmet with this new screen.

It has been about the journey, not the destination.

I did not notice any extra noises, but the wind was blowing pretty hard. I have an ARAI RX7 helmet which is reasonably quiet. Hopefully the turbulence will be less with this screen. Will post results as soon as I have given it some gas.
