Going to negotiate my second ZX-14r this Saturday. Sold my 2014 and my Ninja 1000 isn't doing it for me.
Hope to get the Green color and will report.

Welcome back, Ninja 22!
Yeh, the biggest issue with ZX14 is that once you get used to the power, you just can't go back to bikes with 120 or 150hp bikes. I was seriously thinking about buying Ninja 1000 when buying ZX14 but now really glad I went with ZX14. I had a chance to test ride Ninja 1000 and it was really lacking the low end torque (of course compared with ZX14). Happy riding!

To all above and thanks for the responses and Welcome. IMHO:
Yes the power is number one but the weight of the ZX-14r is another. It is stable and more
comfortable on the highway. The twisties on the 1000 are thin and downshifts are unpredictable with
rear end jumping around when trying engine only slowing. The ZX is perfect in gearing and very predictable
for any set of twisties with down shifts and engine brakes.
And yes I love the fact that the front end wants to rise with any quick shifts. Like that feeling.
Yes the front brake is weak for aggressive driving and that is a little unsettling.
The seat of the 1000 is a torcher chamber and $300-400 to replace adequately. I can put that in a ZX and trade the 1000. The buzzing vibration in the butt is a design issue to me and needs work.
Love to hear your feedback here.
Thanks!

I just sold a 2015 1000 abs to get my 2015 zx14r. No comparison. After riding the 14 and getting back on the 1000 it felt like a buzzy toy. And yes the seat was terrible. Too bad I wasted money on new seats and exhaust before riding a friends 2012 zx14r. At least I am happy now and that is all that matters.

ZX14R is the best. I have recently test drove Duc Diavel, Panigale 899, Monster 1200 and KTM Super Duke 1290. Every time I rode ZX14R after test ride was done, I smiled. A big one. ZX14R is the best bike. The only thing possibly better is H2 but that is totally out of range for me anyway.

I was also considering trading for a Diavel or a Superduke, but realized that after the new wore off, neither could compete with the overall package that the 14R is

That's good to know. I'd still love to test ride all those bikes myself, but I had a feeling nothing was going to be better than the 14.
