lowered front and rear

but not the same, only 1/2" at forks and a full 1" at rear....will this throw the bikes handling off ? Im thinking it might change the weight characteristics therefore handling... the front end being lighter cause rear is lower

Keep an Eye out for your Oil Pan on driveways. I've read of owners dragging their Pan.

went over those speed bumps in apt.parking lots and cleared just fine...but bike feels different....thinking I might lower the front another half inch to take it back to the stock profile aside from it being lower by an inch.

You decreased the head angle, that will slow down the turn in, the bike will feel a bit harder to turn. If your not riding twisties you may not notice much.

Whatever you do, make sure they rear is NOT lower than the front. A lowered bike will still handle fine, other than maybe dragging stuff in corners. BUT, if your rear is lower than the front, it will try to push the front in corners. In other words, it won't want to turn.
